Rearranging creates havoc

My roommate decided in January to rearrange the house - wants to move her office from the living room to a spare bedroom. That's fine.

This spare room is my getting ready in the am room - my clothes are in the closet and my underthings are in the dresser. My makeup table is in the corner. It's also right next to the laundry room, so the bedroom is used as a place to fold laundry as well. So definitely not used for sleeping, but it is used.

But I'm all for having the living room back, so I told her to go ahead and rearrange.

I was thinking it would take a week or so.

In January, she took apart the bed and leaned it against the wall. A relative or friend or someone was supposed to come get it.

It was leaned against the wall and in my way until March.

Now she has purchased a new desk - it is now in the same corner where the mattress was. Still in the box. There were storage boxes in the closet -these are now stacked up in front of the box that contains the desk.

I politely ask when the room conversion will be finished - I waited until the mattress had been leaning for a good week before I broached this conversation. Once the mattress was gone, I was told as soon as the desk was purchased. Now when I ask, her answer is When I have time.

I realize my aggravation is caused by my inability to deal with inaction. If it were another room that I didn't use, I wouldn't care. But I am being BOTHERED because someone won't get off her butt and DO something.

So now the roommate is in Florida on vacation.

Should I put together the desk and get the shit out of my way? Or should I put her crap in her bedroom?

Or should I just stay drunk while she's gone and not worry about it?

I'd just push it all into a corner out of my way.

Sounds like me! I have been meaning to paint my kitchen cabinets for a couple of months now. The doors have been off the hinges since my first inclination.
