fallen

Lauren Wood lyrics,
Fallen lyrics

I can't believe it, you're a dream comin' true.
I can't believe how I have fallen for you.
And I was not looking, was content to remain.
And it's ironic to be back in the game.

You are the one who's led me to the sun.
How could I know that I was lost without you...

And I want to tell you, you control my rain..
And you should know that you are life in my veins.

You are the one who's led me to the sun.
How could I know that I was lost without you...

I can't believe it, you're a dream comin' true.
I can't believe how I have fallen for you.

And I was not looking, was content to remain.
And it's erotic to be back in the game.

i remember watching "pretty woman" on television when i was still in high school, at the tender age of 13. being young and foolish maybe, i had fallen head over heels with richard gere...i recall him being a suave gentleman in the movie, ahh, i'd die just to be in julia robert's shoes then, even if she was just a call girl. this was when i was 13, mind you. till this day, i still find richard gere attractive. not sure why, but i seemed to have a track record of being attracted to older men.

when i finally watched "lord of the rings" three years after it was released in the cinema, i find myself drawn to gandolf the wizard and gollum instead of the normal girls' favourite, aragorn and legolas. again, i find myself being attracted to either the older men again or simply the odd outcast. perhaps that was why the guy who showed some interest in me flee upon hearing my comments on my favourite characters in the movie.

well, i can safely say that it is not my intention to be the queer one but i simply look out for other criterias and qualities apart from youth and good looks...

being an ardent "star wars" fan, i have managed to watch the movie each time it was released. one thing for sure, i was not attracted to young anakin skywalker (hayden christensen) in any instance. rather, i was really impressed with qui-gon jinn and obi-wan kenobi. trust me, even i was baffled why i was not attracted to the young anakin who was so successful in seducing queen amidala.

i'd say i would equally be attracted to someone around my age, if and only he possess a certain level of wisdom and intelligence. self praise is no praise, but i do know that i am an intellect. hence, it is just normal to seek someone who shares almost the same level, if not higher, of brightness.

perhaps i sound too arrogant, but in life, at least you ought to know something that you want for sure, never mind if you cannot even decide what to have for lunch (that's me by the way...)

hmmm... I also fell in love over the movie pretty woman... in fact I'm a sucker for love movies... shhhh.... not too good for macho image though..... but to be fair I love most movies that don't insult my intelligence...

but seriously loved movies like Some kind of wonderful, Serenity (or something like that)....

some love movies are worth it, though i cannot say the same for titanic. the first hour was pure bore, almost like sitting through a large screen of discovery/national georgraphic channel. the comes the courtship, nothing memorable really...except for the steamy coach scene.

the most touching part? where the mother of 3 was putting her kids to sleep simply because she knew that they were doomed.

some love stories are worth the rave, i remember liking emma and as good as it gets. but i have my fair share of turkeys, and ever since i have became a cinema outcast because as i age, i don't fancy watching movies alone.
