I'd like to think there would be a happy medium somewhere in those choices. But a bloke's never going to know if he never tries, right?

havent actually had anyone reject a drink ive offered them to be honest, but yeah if a girl isnt interested Im like "yeah, fair enough, sound" and then just carry on the night. theres no need to be bitter about these things is there

gently.... a gent's pride is dented from time to time, sure. but the trick is to act nonchalant about it even when it hurts. theres nothing worse than a guy crying for momma and being overly-persistent once the girl's politely declined...

You just smile and flutter ur eyelids a little and sometimes she may just have a second thought owing to your reaction...... sneaky but true.

ANYHOO, lets do an on-blog test right now to show everyone:

"Hey gently, LUV ur profile! you make me sooooooo horny!! You don't know me from Adam but i thought we could meet up for sex in a car park whilst my mom's out shopping!!!! Game??"

there' nothing worse than women not girls who, see teenderness and all that gushy stuff in a man and seek to squash him i can only imagine they are trying desperately to regain some kind of revenge they were not able to enact on their all so cool and nonchalant ex partners who dont give a FF anyway.

Unfortunately had enough rejections in my life, that one more won't hurt, lol.

I would not be upset as I have no idea of what I would be missing.

I would say that rejection, or even fear of rejection perhaps, is something that younger guys suffer from.

The older and more experienced one gets, the more one can simply sense if the mood, timing, mutual interest, etc, are falling into the right places and thus the chances of actually facing rejection are reduced.

OK, we all slip up once in a while, miss-read the signs, etc, but again experience tends to bring with it a viewpoint of "Nothing ventured, nothing gained" ~ that is to say, that one will merely grow from the experience of rejection and know better the next time around...

It's only a drink, isn't it? Some guys get way too uptight aboutt hat sort of thing. Then again, I've never known anyone in Langtrys to turn down a drink!

Why would I offer to buy a drink for a girl I don't know yet? It's the start of a one-way trip to pussy-whipped.

If you have to buy a girl something to get her to listen to your inane pick-up lines then you're already fucked. And not in the fun way.

I don't go to bars so I don't really know. guys get rejection all the time and learn to deal with it.

As some of the guys have said... seems to me... you don't ask - you don't get.
If you get knocked back (& she's really not interested), why cry about it?
Abusing her just makes her decision all the more valid, so why bother?
Deal with it & move on.

THANK YOU, I thought nobody was going to say this. I've had girls ask me to buy them drinks, but you know they're just trying to use you. I mean it's fair enough to ask and I deffinately don't begrudge it. But it'll be a beatiful harvest moon when I say yes.
