The journey, revisited

This has been a most extaordinary day. This week has seen the growth of our little group by one, most wonderful gentelman joined the group from the Dells, articulate and witty he will be a fast friend when we have occasion to meet. Another man who is in the Milwaukee area who is full to the brim with wisdom of his years and not shy about disspelling that wisdom has also joined our little group, with these men I look for the dicussions to be much more diverse andhope they will help prompt some of the younger ones to join in with their points of view.
The need arouse to contact the man in Milwaukee to pass information alone to friends of his who wished to attend a party I am coordinating with another friend in the Dells. This afternoon his friend called to get more details and the voice was poetry. Lyrical and bright she spoke with a warmth in her voice that makes one feel at ease from the first words. She is one of the people whom I wished my online friend to contact, as they are friends, but for her to call me was something of a shock, a very pleasant shock, but a shock non the less. Our converstion was light at first but drifted to the melodrama's of AdultFriendFinder and some of the soap opera happenings that are a part of people who are here for all the wrong reasons. That is a subject for another blog.
Needless to say the contacts made today were a gift and the potential for new friends is what I have found this community of open minds to be about. Meeting new people making friends enjoying some real experiences and then extending those times with online contact.
The first Meet and Greet for this little group was, in my opinion, a huge success. Those who were there were enjoying good converstion and a togetherness that is lacking in other groups because they do not share the same commonality. The major portion of this group is 40 and up and we are very comfortable in our own skin, as it were, and are more bold than some of the other groups that I belong to, partly due to the fact we just have been there and done most of that. Even if we have not done that does not mean we would not like to know more about the subject or even experience it for ourselves. The best thing is we are more vital now than when we didn't know what to do with what we had, we still haveit but we know how to use it better than we ever did before.
Males and females alike we are friends first and will cover each other, watch out for each other and if the need arises protect each other, it is just what friends do.
This is what my vision was for this group, to find and make friends who above all else would enjoy life and welcome friends, ultimately to fulfill the need we all have to be a part of something that is comforting and where we feel safe, but are free to express what we wish to without fear of judgement.
I have found friends here that I hope will last the rest of my life and at the end I hope they will rejoice with me that I have achieved peace.
Y'all have a wonderful life
