UP AND RUNNING

Aren't I suppose to sleep in on the weekend? Well, I get alot of flak for my 4 hours a night sleep. I do often sleep 5 hours though. Hubby sometimes gets frustrated so I have to lay in bed staring at the ceiling so he feels I am close to him while he sleeps. But, I grow inpatient and either I attack, get up or...fall asleep and attack. lol They think me abynormal. Well, I am.

It is nice to be abynormal. What a bore it would be if we were all the same.

Yesturday, at Costco, there was a battle going on. All those around could hear the guns blasting. It didn't get violent but the battle was intense. First I.. than she, than I.. than she. Who would win? The elders sided with me...the young sided with her....The husband and father stood a safe distance away in fear of ending up a casualty of war.

"I say we get the books" I said

"I want the movie" She said

"What fun we had when I read to you two, now another good series to read"

"I want the movie" she says

"I want the books" I say

"They are classics sweety, much better read than watched. I will read, you can kick back and listen" I say

"We will get the movie, I can watch it and then we will get the books and you can read it" she says

" I will get the books and read it, than after I have read them, you can get the movie and watch it" I say

and so I stood with books tightly in hand..and she stood with the movies tightly in hand. I felt like the north going yak, and she was the south going yak. We both held our ground. But she was the daughter, and I was the mighty mother. The battle went on for another five minutes till finally, knowing that we would end up walking out with neither she gave in.

We drove to the bay on that fine Saturday afternoon and I read The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. She listened intently and when I ear marked the page to go back to later, she begged me to continue and then another battle emerged.

"Read more mom"

"We must finish our business of the day"

"Just one more chapter" She pleaded

I read one more chapter. Always let them win from time to time. Keeps the battlegrounds less bloody.

All enjoy your sunday morn, afternoon and eve.
