TRAILER PARK TRASH

So.. the weekend visitor.
Was it scary? Yup.
The home truths, the planning for my future ( Now, I cannot, for the life of me, remember asking for assistance on that?) but, in the end all went well and compromises reached .sort of!
Upshot is I work too much, aint that a shock!
I leave little or no time for a personal life and need to change before I kill myself. No surprises so far.
Realises that I need to change things at my own pace and come to terms (once again) with semi retirement.
I HAVE AGREED that I will consolidate the business and then sell it with a time scale of 2 years maximum. I will continue the lectures/seminars and techie side of my activities, which is the bit I really enjoy.
I will divest myself of this oversized house in the UK as it is not where I want to live and purchase a large trailer or motor-home to live in for a couple/three of weeks at a time and go back home (Spain) for at least a week every month and live in a proper house!
In the meantime she will live in one of the Spanish properties and run that side of my activities, something I sorely neglect and am continually double booking! Her job allows her to do the same type of commuting so there is no issues with that.
So, where did we go yesterday?
To a park around 1 mile from the house! AND WE WALKED!!!
Picnic basket, wine, the whole works! The idea, apparently, was to get me away from the house, phone (which I never answer anyway), cats and computer so I can just relax.
I fell asleep after the bottle of wine which, I’m pretty sure was not the general idea!
She was (as all women are!) completely correct in her analysis and I am not discussing the bit about fear of a relationship and commitment!
My problem now is my cats’, do I take them to Spain, give them away or allow them to share a trailer/motor-home? Not sure about this one.
All I am certain of is that things have to change and this idea seems as good as any I can think of.

Whadya think?

Mood : Relieved

Do what makes you happy. That's what I think.

Thanks Bike and welcome to my wall in the asylum. Good advice, if only I knew what did! Am I a dork or what?

Well, I'm a cat lover - I'd take them to Spain.

Hmmm seems like your giving up alot for a cow you haven't even bought yet. You know the saying why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free.

Juicy

Hummmm ... the list is long of thing to do.

The cats (outdoor or indoor?) - the motor home is probably not the best, even though you would like it and that is where you will be for 3 out of 4 weeks; In Spain will they have companionship, a human care giver?

Cutting the time working (called that!) will be good in the long run. But hard in the short. It is going to drive you crazy to drop it down a gear or two!!

Morning! been enjoying your blogs. re cats guess I'd ask the oracle!!

Cat and flat sitting as I am at present - the mobile home/confined living is not an option, especially if litter trays are involved!
Giving pets away is poor unless utterly unavoidable so I guess that leaves Spain. I've never met an unhappy cat in Spain tho a few needed a bath and a good meal. They may struggle with the language, Cat-alan is rediculous!

All the best with it, 00TBoy

A falacy I beoieve, even a bought cow requires feeding, watering, grazing land and housing, milk is never free!!

Cats are indoor/outdoor as the mood takes them and there is human care in spain via my neighbour. Will anyone notice if Im just a litttle crazier than I am now? Gotta step down a gear I sleep less than 4 hours a day on average and the investment return just makes no sense, as well as potential health issues. Ah Well!!

Hi OOty, welcome to senility centre. Excellent points and they are going to Spain. Succinctly articulated and I love the catalunian pun, nice. Many wild cats in Spain, as you say, diseased and hungry. And one of mine does like to swim in the pool, really!
