OUCH ???

Well it is done I finally had my wisdom teeth out. They have been bothering me off and on for about 6 years now. Every year is worse than the last and the pain lasts a little longer. I was willing to live with the pain and uncomfortableness however my lovely wife was getting a little tired of snapping at her when my teeth went to hurting.
So this morning we were off bright and early for the dentist to have my poor little teeth yanked from my mouth in the quickest and least painful manner. You have to understand that I am not the best patient, be it a dentist or just the family doctor. I have been a wreck for the past couple of days and could hardly get to sleep last night. I had decided to be put under during the procedure when the dentist told me that I would not remember it that way. Well to my surprise he was right. When they woke me up I said “You are kidding me…you are not done already” . The only side effects that I am feeling now is a little fuzzy headed which is kind of nice. I guess that it will hurt once I can feel my face again but I do have some nice painkillers that I believe I am going to take even if I am not in pain. Why not get a little fun out of the whole experience. Lol

Her two cents….

I’m glad that’s done and I’m a teansy bit jealous that it was so easy for him: I think it took all of twenty minutes for 3 teeth, start to finish. I do get a couple days off which is nice. I am gonna need to get those drugs for him soon though. Just want to make sure he feels good  He won’t really let me do much else for him

Oh man do I feel for you. I tried to put a post in my blog the other day about the same thing but A-F-F denied me 3 times so I just gave up. Anyway, my wisdom teeth have been bothering me for about 6 years too off and on. I am DYING to get them out. The pain recently had gotten so bad that I couldn't sleep for almost 2 days straight. Sleep deprivation on top of severe dental pain. What a combo. LOL Well, glad to hear that you got your problem taken care of. Happy Healing.

If I had known it was going to be this easy I would have gotten them out years ago. I encourage being put under...it made it super easy. Thanks for the good healing wishes. So far it is looking good--the only thing is I am getting pretty hungry now because I have to nibble all my food with my front teeth.

I'm glad things went well. Dentistry has obviously made great advancements in recent years. My brother had his wisdom teeth out 25 years ago, and he looked like he'd gone ten rounds with Mike Tyson. Everyone I know who has the procedure today has an experience much more like yours.

Me? My dentist said I'm one of the rare people who was born without any wisdom teeth.
