God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though it's waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. ~Selah~
There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the Holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at the break of day. Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; He lifts His voice the earth melts. The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. ~Selah~
Come and see the works of the Lord, the desolations He has brought on the earth. He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear, He burns the shields with fire. 'Be still and know that I AM GOD; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.' The Lord Almighty is with us; The God of Jacob is our fortress. ~Selah~ -Psalm 46 NIV

Is discouragement knocking at your door today? Are the challenges of life wearing you down? Take heart! Here's some Good News! God is our refuge and our strength! Our ever-present help in trouble! Do not fear! Know today that the Lord is aware of your circumstances! He is not in the dark without a clue! The Lord knows every detail of what you have need of before you even ask!

This Psalm tells us that no matter what the circumstances may be, that the Lord is our shelter, our tower of strength when the struggles of life try to over-take us. When the enemy seems to be getting the best of you, GOD IS THE ANSWER! HE IS WITH YOU! RUN TO HIM FIRST!

The word "Selah" means to stop and think, or meditate on this. We need to let these words of encouragement in this Psalm sink into our hearts and take root. So we don't run "willy-nilly" down the road in panic and in fear. But instead we stop, calm down, and stand our ground firmly, knowing that we can trust in the Lord because the battle belongs to Him and not us anyway!

Thank you Lord that in the midst of the storms and chaos you are our peace, our strength and our hope! We place our trust in You O' Lord knowing that you will not fail us. That You are always with us! And You will do what is best for us! You alone are our refuge and our strength. Thank you Lord! In Jesus Christ’s holy name I pray, amen.

Be Most Blessed!
Be bold! Be Strong! For the Lord Your God is with you!

Try telling that to the people in Louisianna and Mississippi. Try telling that to the parents of young children who are dying of cancer and other horrible diseases. I could go on, but it would take way too long.
