FORGIVE AS YOU HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN

"Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation." - Luke 11:4

FORGIVE AS YOU HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN

Forgiving and being forgiven are two sides of the same coin. That's why Jesus, when teaching His disciples to pray, connects the two ideas so intimately. He doesn't even use two sentences, as if He were conveying two separate thoughts. He uses one sentence, for it is one idea that He is communicating; forgiving and being forgiven are manifestations of the very same thing- the grace of God. The person who does not forgive is the person who has forgotten just how much he has been forgiven. The person who truly forgives and forgets is the person who is aware of the power of amazing grace in their lives. Do you grasp how unworthy you are of forgiveness, but do you then look to the cross and see your own forgiveness won in blood for you? Do you understand what it means to have your entire slate wiped clean in the eyes of God? Go, therefore, and show what you have received; forgive others as you yourself have been forgiven.

Heavenly Father, Thank you for forgiveness, for grace that I do not deserve. Thank you for the cross, where You showed Your love to a world that does not deserve it. Thank you for Your Holy Spirit, given to guide me in Your truth. Give me faith in Your grace and love for You that compels me to forgive others. Lord, You have forgiven me! Teach me to forgive like You forgive. In Jesus Christ’s holy name I pray, Amen.

Jesus also said- " If thy Brother offends you go to your Brother
& discuss his fault, if he will not listen then take witnesses,
If he still will not listen , tell it to the church or go public, if he still won't listen TREAT HIM AS A PUBLICAN & A HEATHAN" MATTHEW 18- 15-17( See my blog because that is exactly what I have done with our Museum Board & they will NOT repent)Forgiveness is there for those who REPENT if they do not repent they are not forgiven.Look at the 2 thieves- ONLY 1 recived forgivness for his sins that day & Jesus told him " Today you will be with me in Paradise"

“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” ‒ Matthew 5:14-16

“Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.” - Psalm 34:5

BE RADIANT LIKE HIM

We are like the moon; the glory we show is the reflection of the greater life in our lives that does not originate in us but is a blessing to others through us. Look to God for your hope, your strength, your values, your foundation, your security, and your light.

Father, I look for you and to you. Be near me as I face challenges and temptations. Don't let the evil one bring me shame because of my sin and weakness. Triumph over evil in my life for your glory. Please, let your light shine on me as you bless me and in return bless others. In Jesus Christ's holy name I pray. Amen.
