Watch Out L.A. Frogger

Today Frogger was happily surprised when her school closed down for the week. Even Frogger's Mean Old Boss couldn't prevent her from going home to finish preparing her newly bought condo for that evil witch Rita. Mr. Mean Old Boss did, however make Frogger and the rest of his minions help move all the books in the school library from the bottom shelf to the top shelf. So Frogger came home a little sweaty and tired.

Frogger was again happily surprised when her overprotective mother bought her a plane ticket back to her dearly missed home Los Angeles. After recieviing some nasty comments in her blog on men with guns (many of whom obviously have a HUGE chip on their shoulder) Frogger was quite ready to be embraced by a blue state.

So Frogger will be packing up the kiddos in their tiny little crate and heading out to Los Angeles tomorrow. Hopefully the Lily Pad will hold up while she is gone. She will miss her first hurricanne...and the potential to have sex during it.

But perhaps there is an Adult Friend in L.A. to keep Frogger company while she is in town ????

I hope you have a safe trip Frogger and that the school, lilly pad and all that you hold dear in Texas will be safe.

xxyyzz33: If only I it wasn't a violation of my status as a faithful Angelino to avoid stepping foot in OC at all costs. (just kidding) I supppooooooose I could make an exception for a fellow Trojan though.

mzhunyhole: It will indeed be nice to visit home. Mom says the weather there is "pleasant" but when isn't it in LA? Of course there was a bit of a thunderstorm a couple of days ago...I hope I am not stepping out of the pot and into the fire.

beewulf9: I'll agree with the second and third The first...well I could use a bit of an extended vacation.

Hey Frogger...the storm is hitting near Orange and the Louisiana coast, but better safe than sorry...besides, it's good to see the Mom once in a while, isn't it?

Lots of traffic from Houston to Austin...all of our schools are set up as shelters and the churches are swinging into overdrive. We might get a few inches and some minor wind..I suspect the bulk will pass by Sunday morning. Shreveport is predicting 12" of rain.

Say a prayer for Gypsy...she's hunkering down with her little man..her brother in The Woodlands is supposed to pick her up, but the gridlock is unbelieveable. Up to 20 hours to Austin...

Enjoy LA...hit a club and tell us what the cool people are doing these days.....stay in touch.

Thanks everyone....Well As you might imagine it was hell trying to get to the airport yesterday morning...but not NEARLY as bad as the 45. Thank God my mom rescued me, as I would otherwise have stuck to my original plan (and everyone else's in Houston as well it would appear) and head to Dallas. I would still be there! Kudos to Delta for keeping things under control while the masses invaded the airport. If you saw the news, you know it was a mad house (with more crying babies and pets than usual). Mom met me with an In-N-Out Burger (possibly the best in the Universe!) and I had a very much needed good night’s sleep.

My thoughts and prayers are with my fellow Houstonians stuck on the 45. I hope everything is under control by the time Rita hits in the inland. At least it looks like it may not hit us, but then Poor Louisiana might get it again...what a world!

I will now be going for a walk in sunny (non-humid!) Los Angeles. I'll check in later.

Thanks Again,

Frogger {=}

Rita was a pussy, she didn't even hit hard. However New Orleans I feel bad for. The levy broke again, and it flooded once more. I think the higher powers are saying, don't rebuild, just repair the levy, and move the town somewhere else, no use on risking lives again. Still got power here, and its pretty dry thanks to the wind. There wasn't really much rain, just winds. I think the Hurricane noticed that Houston was just about empty and said, "well fuck that, i'm going somewhere else." Well, as long as your safe.
