Happy Happy, Joy Joy

Because I often find myself miserable at work, I suckered myself in to buying Barbara Ann Kipfer’s, 14,000 Things to be Happy About to help cheer myself up. Boy did I need it today! It’s actually quite a fun read, especially when you go through it with a highlighter and highlight all the things that you agree with her on, such as Orange Juice in Champagne Flutes or Baseball Hats. After reading it I instituted my own policy at work: At the end of each day I would list five things to be happy about. That way when I was feeling down, or pissed at a certain someone, I could turn to it to bring a smile to my face. Granted, I am no where near the benchmark that Barbara Ann has set, but I have enough to make me happy for a while.

Having been a member of AdultFriendFinder long enough, I have come across some meanies on this site and some messages and posts that required me to be a meanie myself. I have come to the decision that would like to leave my readers with a yummy, scrumptious taste in their mouth (as opposed to a bad one), so I will institute the same policy for my blogs. At the end of each post, I will list 5 things to be happy about. Although you may not agree with me you should at least leave my blog with a positive vibe. As always, feel free to post your own thoughts.

Here are my first five

Things To Be Happy About

Winnie the Pooh
Red Vines Licorice
Freedom of Speech
Playing Hookie From School/Work
Average Joes ( see my post on Hand)

So what are your five things to be happy about?

You know, I've been thinking something similar myself though I've no idea what the book is that you picked up; I might even have written a blog on the subject had you not beaten me to it!

Five things I'm happy about right now? At this very moment?

Your blog
Freshly-baked bread
Terry Pratchett
Stargazer lilies
Clean bedding

Well, it's that time of night here!

1-relationship with God
2-happy children
3-relative prosperity
4-great friends
5-good health
