God Bless those Men in Uniform!

I have the unbeleivably good fortune of living within walking distance of both a fire station and some sort of military base that caters to both the Marines and the Army. I am probably outing my location to anyone living in Houston, but I had to write about it.

I specifically avoid buying my morning yogurt in bulk so that I can stop by the Kroger store every morning and maybe catch a glimpse of some firemen loading up on their weekly supply (they always seem to shop in numbers) or an army guy grabbing a morning snack. There is just something about them, in that uniform, especially in that setting, that really makes my day.

A lot of women talk about men in uniform. But what is it about them that makes us soooo hot for them? I always thought the idea of a “man in uniform” was a cliché developed for the exclusive benefit of older women and homosexual men. But that was when I was in high school and still lusting after the likes of L.L Cool J. and Ralph Tresvant (sigh!). Then I grew up. Yes, my heart still flutters over the occasional Brad Pitt or Taye Diggs, but nothing gets me today going quicker than seeing a man in uniform.

I don’t think I’m alone. That uniform represents everything a woman looks for in a man: strength, responsibility, leadership, courage, protection, and most importantly, a paying job! You know, all those things that hit both a biological nerve and our mental g-spot. You can get the bad boy and the dependable man all wrapped up into one perfect specimen!

I am a hispanic soldier in Louisiana. I'm about 2 hours from you. I'm glad you appreciate the uniform and what it represents. I hope we can chat sometime. I'd love to get to know more about you.
