Chins Up Astros

I just finished watching the first game of the World Series. Anyone who is familiar with my blog knows how I feel about baseball on any given day (Zzzzzz). But I was feeling particularly lonely tonight and there was literally nothing else on TV to keep me company.

I tuned in at the bottom of the eighth inning, which was just about the right timing for me considering my tolerance level for baseball. The game was close at that point (Astros 3, Sox 4) so I forgot my self-pity for a second and really got into it, even kicking my headboard a few times.

Of course it didn't hurt that there were a bunch of athletic men in baseball uniforms, which are fitted perfectly for prime ass-viewing. It also didn't hurt to see a bunch of smuggity-smug Sox fans, who began celebrating their victory before the bottom of the Ninth.

Perhaps there is something to this game called baseball after all. I fully plan on tuning in to each game...right after the 7th inning stretch.

Hi Frogger. I mentioned you like 7 times in my own blog. I hope you do not mind, but I feel like stealing. Let me know if it bothers you, but my admiration for you is honest. I hope you can read it, it also has a question for you. I checked your blog, there was nothing new. I wrote the post and when I came back your new post was here. Thanks...

About baseball, well, I am a man but I would not ask Mariano Rivera out of my bed. Thanks to him and to David Cone, I found baseball interesting when I first came to this country. In his last year with the Yankees, Cone, who also was a handsome man according to my standards, went on a terrible crisis. He did not blog, but he wrote a book (or helped writing one). Maybe that's why we write blogs...who know. Take care, and thanks for all you write.

They denied my post, and I wonder why. Maybe you have some experience on that and can give me some guidance. There was a question, innocent one, at the end and i took it off to see if that was the problem. The question was about how you post those kisses at the end of your messages...
Good night, Frogger

I thought L.A. was in there somewhere? Shows how much I care about baseball. Football is my passion, Go RAIDERS.

What is that, ADD for baseball? The 7th inning is when most games are winding down...the best part of the game is the early to middle innings.

If a game is played right, especially the World Series, it's exciting from beginning to end.

I admit when its a one sided game it can be rather boring, but at those points you can let your mind wander to how big someone's bat is ()

Hope you give the game more than just a 7th inning stretch shot...

Jarrod

That's still about one inning longer than I can take of sports, other than women's volleyball.

*sigh*

Thanks for the things to be happy about - five out of five for me today.

Baseball is only good in playoffs and after the 7th before that it tends to be borring unless you are at the park, that can be fun and/or entertaining.
I had sent you a face picture, did you ever see it? I hope we can talk sometime soon, I think we have some things in common and might could be interested in one another?

JarrodSparrow: That's the whole point. I just couldn't sit through a whole game even if it was close through the whole thing.

HardlyYours4Now: I guess we both agree on everything today.

Let me see if I got this straight Frogger ... you were home ... alone ... on a Saturday night ... watching the world series? I think I can be of some assistance here Frogger ... you should never have to watch the world series alone. I offer to join you so we can root for the Astros together. I'll bring the snacks.

It's a Bad Thing(tm) when a woman as lovely as you feels lonely on any night, Froggie.
At least you enjoyed the little of the game you watched, but still...

<hugs>

Hope you have some fun and don't get lonely.

Frogger? at home by yourself on a Saturday night?

I'm glad you saw something in baseball that some of us see more often. It is actually a very mental game, especially if you look at the stats of batters vs pitchers, how to play a batter into outs, how to allow a run to setup a double play and end an inning, how to pitch to certain batters, how to hit to certain fielders, etc.

Most novices have a hard time grasping the depth that the game can get into...thanks for making the step in watching with an open mind.

Having said that...yes, it can be boring at times.

This will be an exciting series...try to watch more of it. Old fashioned pitching and fielding, the way to win ballgames.

(rolls eyes up and sighs wistfully)...I should've never gotten out.

Once agian AdultFriendFinder has scrambled the postings here. To the rest of you:

ewan_1973: Yes, I think we are all trying to figure out AdultFriendFinder's ridiculous policies regarding censorship. I just wrote a great post and it was denied for whatever reason. I've been gone all day and was shocked to see no views. I scrolled down to find out it was denied. HUMPH!

gnr8nrg: USed be LA...now Houston. But I will always be a Lakers fan

travelingintexas: God I almost didn't recognize you. Does this mean you are moving to my new hometown.

Alankink27: All I know is when they hit the ball it's good. When the other team catches the ball it's bad. And they need to reach home to get a point.

dart2500: At the park I am all beer and hotdogs...what game?? As for the pic... I have about 300 unread messages so give it time.

RunToMe440: Tell me about it. and to think most of my old adultfriends were watching it as well.

digdug41: Of the little that I saw I agree...until Houston lost.

Jobe00: Tonight I am watching after a long day at work. Sox just scored a run....comeon Astros!

simon234233: Exactly why I wait until the 7th inning.

Wowens beach volleyball is not something I would watch just to see a few points - no I'm there for the entire event. But a bunch guys adjusting their jocks and swinging bats - I'm right with you - tuning in after the 7th innings.
