A Meme from Donnaville

This is what you do when you are bored at work:

Four Jobs I've Had in My Life:
Attractions Hostess at Disneyland: I walked around in unintentionally Fuck-me attire, working route 2: Teacups, Alice In Wonderland, and Dumbo…and (unfortunately) sometimes the parade route.
Pomona College Office of Annual Giving: We called alums and pressured them for money. I quit the first week, after some woman cursed me out, thinking I was the woman having an affair with her husband.
Pomona College History Department Liaison: This wasn’t really a paid position, but it was a job. I served as the “intermediary” between the faculty and students. This meant that I got to see the worst of both. The politics and bickering that goes on in academia make our United States Congress look like a bunch of free love hippies on E.
Research Assistant at USC Law Library: It’s what made me what I am today.

Four Movies I Could Watch Over and Over, and Have:
1. Shawshank Redemption: Hands down the best movie ever made
2. Snatch: Hands down the second best movie ever made (though followed VERY closely by Se7en)
3. Sound of Music: Happy Happy, Joy Joy
4. Fletch: The only Chevy Chase movie I like.

Four Places I Have Lived:
1. Inglewood, CA: The good part
2. Walnut, CA: No not Walnut Creek
3. South Central Los Angeles, CA: This officially qualifies me as from da hood…even if I was in law school at the time. (after all…I was a victim of crime)
4. Seattle, WA: Would go back in a heartbeat.

Four TV Shows I Love to Watch:
1. My Name is Earl: New Favorite
2. Pinky and the Brain: Old Favorite. No longer on the air, but I managed to find a few videos.
3. Daily Show: What other news source is there?
4. Spongebob Squarepants: (I just love Squidward)

Four Places I Have Been on Vacation:
1. Vancouver, Canada: The only time I have ever been out of the country
2. New York: Each time was a bad experience: 1st time I was punished the first day and spent the entire vacation in the hotel room 2nd time I became seriously ill 3rd time I went for an interview and was stuck there for 2 extra days due to one of the worst snow storms in the history of the city (remember the week of President’s day 2003?)…and didn’t even get the job! But at least it reminded me of why I have always loved being a West Coast gal.
3. Orlando: went in 6th grade. First time I ever experienced a HOT thunderstorm. The hotel had a free juke box in the diner and me and my sister played “Stand” by REM the entire time we ate there just to drive our dad crazy
4. Yellowstone National Park: It was actually part of a driving trip with my family. We hit 10 states in 2 weeks. I will forever be haunted by the story about the boy who fell in one of the hot springs.

Four sites I Visit Daily:
1. Donnaville: Fulfills my daily voyeur fix
2. CNN: I just like to take the daily poll
3. The Onion: more funny liberals
4. BBC: To see what the other side thinks…and find accurate news

Four Favorite Foods:
1. Fajitas at Ninfas: My usual haunt
2. Dad’s tacos: Last time I tried to make them I set my kitchen on fire
3. My aunt’s Macaroni and Cheese: Too bad it’s only twice a year (sigh!)
4. My mom’s cooked sausage: Fills my daily sugar, fat, and protein dietary needs in one serving….they have to be good for me!

Four Places I would rather be:
1. Seattle or San Francisco
2. Pissing O’Reilly off enough to have him turn off my mic
3. Getting a Massage
4. Smurf Village

Things to be Happy About:

Feeling Better About It
Advice from Mom
Cute Little Turtles
Tap Water
Hippies that Piss People Off Just Because They Are Who They Are.

Imagine! A fan of the Daily Show ever pissing off O'Reilly!
Imagine if we ALL could piss off O'Reilly enough to get his rants off the air.
R.I.P, John Lennon. (Yeah...as if he can do THAT with things continuing to go the way the are).

Love your choice of movies, although I would trade the Sound of Music for Zoolander. You are only the third person I know of so far (and I am one of them) who really liked Fletch. I recently bought Snatch on DVD, so if you are ever up this way and feel like snuggling by the fire...

Oh while it's definitely not the best movie ever made, The Shawshank Redemption is still one of my favorites. Snatch was pretty good too.

Right now if you were a 4yr old girl would you feel justice that the guy that you got 60 days in jail? I hope he gets that judge's a** in vermont!

Geez, Frogger. I tried. I really did. Itried to concentrate on your post long enough to formulate a coherent reply. ... But I just couldn't get past the pic of yer ass. ... You obviously have no idea how hard it is for a guy to think with the big head when the little one has all the blood.

Snatch was good, Limey and Sexy Beast I think work in the same way but without the chronological juxtaposition.

I'd rather you be in SF too. Then I could annoy you every time I come up to visit my family. It's only a six hour drive.

I just got back from Seattle. Made me homesick for Vancouver (where I grew up). There has been alot of national coverage about how Seattle almost broke the record for consecutive days of rain. A columnist in the Seattle Times said, if it wasn't for the national press writing about it, the people of Seattle wouldn't even have noticed. Probably something that only people from rainy climates can understand.

The Sound of Music played every year at a local cinema when I was growing up and my mom took us every year. I now know almost every song by heart. Kinda scares me when I think about it.

One place I would rather be:
Giving Frogger a massage.

Looks like you've had some interesting experiences. I love The Shawshank Redemption. I end up watching it most times its on TV. I am looking forward to visiting Seattle this year and really enjoyed San Francisco. The Onion is good too. And Fletch!

Give each other twenty dollars...

Hi Frogger,
I know I am showing my ignorance here, or maybe it's stupidity, I don't know. But what is Donnaville? What, where, who, why, how, huh?
No one else even mentioned it, so I guess I am the only one living in the void. As always, Luv Ya.

Ah, another native of California.

Grew up near Malibu
Moved to Northridge, Ca while I was going to college
Moved to Long Beach, Ca and Shared apt with some friends.
Moved to Dallas, Tx for a job
Moved to Houston, Tx For some chick
I've lived here now since 1990?

Growing up in an UCLA family, that should make us mortal enemies. However, given your wit and curves, I just cant do that. Don't tell mom!

About your favourite places: how about Munich? in spite of St Spielberg (german for 'play-mountain' or: mountain of toys) it is a nice city, I know sice I live here. By the way, what hapened to you in NYC? When I was there, i was walking alle the way down from Penn station to battery park and around and back, checked out some funny record shops (I am a vynilist, no not a nihilist but just a harmless lover of old black disks that were made to play music to you if run with a suitable needle to pick it up, that was in old times, I know but I give damn to what is en vogue if I love something else. What else nonsense can I tell you? Not much that other's haven't allready hinted to you, so I will keep from bothering you but if you come to Munich I sure invite you for a nice cup of cappochino, it's not far, after all it's on the northen hemisphere, too. See 'Old Europe' (Rumsfield) before the Atlantic Ocean will widen even more (you know, the continental drift ..) We haven't had a girl like you over here since 1969 (Hotel California;but you are sure free to leave any time you want, it is not our own device, you know, that makes us Old Europeans stay here and freeze up presently - then what is it? Ask me something that easier to answer or ask me anyways, and I tell you some more weird stories or if you prefer, some tolerably sound ones, too. Have a nice time, take care, be happy, all good luck to you in this year.
Bye - chiao - tschüßi
