A point to ponder....?

I've been wondering...why is it, when a person is feeling down and melancholy, real crappy weather can comfort them? It's been pouring down rain outside my window...I can hear it beating on the roof...and what I think is, "I love the rain..."
What is that? Rain is cold and wet...being a mailman, it should be my worst enemy...but I love it. Anyone have any idea why that is? Do I find something in common with it? Do I feel that the sky is sad with me...maybe, for me? Is the world saying, "Hey now...don't feel so sad and lonely...I feel your pain, let's weep together..."?
Whatever it may be, I am thankful for it. At my worst moments, all I have to do is stop and listen...and in that quiet, with the pattering of rain, or the howling of wind, or even the sound of distant thunder, things will just get a little bit better...I look forward to what the next day brings...
Thanks for listening...

Hey, I just noticed how much I adore the "..." Odd how three dots get us to pause in our reading and at the same time can mean, "to be continued!" Strange...
