Rocking the past..hair and all

I am sitting here listening to yahoo launchcast radio and I ventured onto the 80's.

OMG!!! These songs bring back some killer memories! Like the ripped up jeans, the studs on jackets and THE HAIR!!!! Yeah, I had 80's hair... It was not as long as it is now Thank God...I would have to buy 8 cans of Aqua Net to keep this mane in place now.....

I just heard Dokken's "In My Dreams"...I loved George Lynch and then, "Wait" by White Lion.... and then Robert Plant's "Tall Cool One".

I can taste the MadDog 20/20 right now. Cruising the strip and hittin the Mr. Wienie's for a shake.....pineapple was my favorite! DId not go well with the "Maddog" though!!!! Plenty nights of "toilet huggin"!!!!!!

Skid Row's "Youth GOne Wild" is on now.....could not stand Sebastian Bach.......but great song!!!

Holding up Rock Bull horns with fingers and banging my head............Woo-hoo!!!!!

Now, can anyone tell me who is the group in the photo??????

Makes me realise what a gulf separates America and the UK sometimes.

Dokken? George Lynch? Skid Row? Cinderella?

But then I see mention of Robert Plant, Judas Priest, Def Leppard (hey, somewhere I have their demo single) and Motorhead (I had a pint with Lemmy in a pub in my younger days, nice chap) ... and I remember when Iron Maiden was a punk band! Come to the UK, the home of good music

the photo is cinderella... a typical corporate put out hair metal band in the typical corporate lets market the metal mode.

george lynch IS one of the greatest guitarists of all time, he's egotistical as all hell but one can't argue with his talent and ability that's for damned sure!

however, the best metal to come out of the 80's is Megadeath, Danzig, and of course... Motorhead (lemmy IS god heh!)

though it's nice to revisit the 80's from time to time, if i hear one more "power-ballad" i'm going to puke lol! these days i prefer the company of Tool, Perfect Circle, Filter, NiN, Soundgarden, and Godsmack. i just prefer my music more heavy than the 80's metal these days.

crank it up and rock on!

...That which does not kill me merely pisses me off!...

Looks like Cinderella to me, but the photo is small. That would be "Shake Me," "Nobody's fool," "Don't know what you've got...," "Gypsy Road," Cinderella, who was discovered bt Bon Jovi, who in turn discovered Britny Fox.

I loved 80's metal. Still do. This past summer, I was lucky enough to see Def Leppard twice, Tesla, Judas Priest, Queensryche, Night Ranger and Quiet Riot. George Lynch is possibly my fave axe master ever. I too had the long hair, ripped jeans and leather jackets. (I still have 2 of the 3

If you have VH1 Classic, check out Metal Mania, which is a 2 hour block of classic 80's vids played every weekend.

Rock On!!!

Ah, Its you again, Your Angel Feathers and your Blood Stains...
