Over 40...and yet to be doomed!

I turned 41 last month and I am amazed at all the "old" or "decrepit" comments I have gotten. Being of such age means nothing of the sorts. I feel very young and although my body has to remind me to slow down, I feel great! In todays world, the average woman lives to be well into her 70's if not 80's. So, with that in mind, I still have half my life yet to go. WHy should I slow down now? Some younger pups put my ailments and aches down as old age. It is not old age...it is experiences that I would never trade for the world. I have bad knees, not because I am OLD, I have them because I have played softball since I was 8 and still do. My back aches, and it is NOT because I am old, it is from many years of breaking and training horses. My eyesight is not as it used to be but, I have always worn glasses. The only hint of being "older" is the few (getting more numerous as we speak) grey in my hair..but, there is hair color for that! And some say your sexual drive goes away.....babies...mine has yet to begin!!!!!!! That is all I have to say about that!
So, when you get up to my age...and older...don't get all freaky deaky about it...live it to its fullest and enjoy every moment as you can. You never know when that piano will be dropped on your head!!!!!! Know what I mean?

41 is not old. Definitely not. Categorically not. Nor, for that matter, is 43

The forties is the decade of liberation: old enough not to worry so much about what everyone else says is right or wrong, not so old that you can't remember what you want to do!

And I *love* the picture, by the way!
