Hippoty Hop...Easter is on its way....Oh Lord

I was asked to be a part of a yearly function that the wives at my hubby's shop does every Easter. We were to hollow out eggs, dry them and then fill them with confetti and color them for the kids.

Sounds neato keen huh? The kids will have a blast right???

Picture this: 8 Kids, hollowed out, confetti filled eggs.......8 kids hurling said confetti filled eggs at one another.......

Get the picture????

I am one for celebrating and having a great time, but 1/2 to 3/4 of these kids are evil, devil spawn....that when armed with projectile objects is a massacre waiting to happen.

And to top it off, after dying 288 of these objects of destruction, my fingers are blue and green......wonder how long that will take to come out??? Hopefully, not as long as the it will take to get each kids blood out of their clothes after this mess.....

xx FREETIME648 xx

Dear free!

Just wanted to drop in and say hello and return your kindness in visiting my Blog. Reminds me of what my mother used to do which is to boil eggs, dye them and then wrap a kind of Italian Pastry around it, which she would glaze with egg. Or the "Devil's Marbles" that some ladies would make by making small balls of dough, cooking them, then pouring honey and hundred and thousands all over. Yummy!

My mother had her special Easter quiches which she would make by getting a mixture of eggs, soft cheese (ricotta) and hard cheese (eg parmesan), parsley, mixing it all up in a bowl and pouring into little pastries. The pastries were just a flat dough, but to form it into a "quiche" all she would do is pinch the sides about an inch apart, between two index fingers, and you have all the ingredients contained. Then bake in the oven until crust is brown. Absolutely Delicious hot or cold!!!

Make sure you give yourself an Easter treat, free!

Happy Easter!
