Big Pet Peeve on this site

I am an american and very proud to be one. I do bleed Red.....and white and blue for that matter. I may not agree with what is going on over in the desert but I am supportive nonetheless.

My big pet peeve is when I see a profile and the main pic of that profile is a man or woman in their military uniform. I do not think this is the right forum for such attire...know what I mean??

I am not trying to ruffle feathers or anything like that...I am just saying this is a sex site. If someone were to wear that uniform to a strip club or a Swingers club...they would have their asses handed to them....right??? Unless they are Security Police it is not a good thing. So, why would you wear one or put a pic up of you wearing one in here???

I apologize if anyone takes offense....not my intention. I just feel this is wrong. Am I being too judgemental?????

To everyone:

THis is just my opinion......I do not think it is a mandate anywhere where this is a "rule". I am allowed my opinion and I stated it! Thank you all for your responses and I appreciate the candidness.....

I never thought about it as anything but trying to get women who like military guys. Honestly, if I was going that route I'd do it because people go off a glace at you're picture first. If that interests them, then they might read more about you. Click, click, next.

Well... I am an Aussie and I little as possible!! As for people in uniforms...remember there are lots of people on this site actually seeking a serious relationship rather than pure wonderful exciting and rewarding sexual encounter!!

A uniform is who "they are" and a good reflection on the style of the person. So long as their profile doesnt say "married, 5 kids, 2 girlfriends and need a f*ck buddy on the side". I guess it comes down to intentions.

Care to elaborate why there should be anywhere where uniform cant be worn. The only time it should be called into question is if their behaviour is deemed inaappropriate or would bring a bad name or disrespect on their unit and proffession. Then your disapproval would come down to your own moral values .Is this the case?

Is it a personal thing? or is it because you think that the population at large would see it as wrong?

Its an interesting point.Dont forget many soldiers best pictures will
be taken when they are in uniform (indeed often many soldiers hardly have any out of it).Surely they want to portray themselves in their best light.Smart, fit and presentable with a decent job and the regular wage that comes with it.What better way to do it then show a picture of you in uniform, especially as physical attraction plays such a part in wether or not most women on here will take the time to get to know the rest of you.

Its a thought

Merry Christmas

I live in a town with a large military contingent, so I see uniformed men and women nearly every day, wherever I go, including bars and strip clubs (Not that I'd ever go to one of those places Therefore, I didn't really notice until you mentioned it.

I agree with The Wraith, many might feel that they look their best when in uniform, and I wouldn't be surprised if that's as far as they took the thought. I don't think you are being too harsh at all. And I'm pretty sure that most military folks would be on your side, at least those with some time in.

Hmmm, I didn't give an opinion at all in that response. I must be running for office or something!

Ah, Its you again, Your Angel Feathers and your Blood Stains...

Well free, I think most have seen my view on Patriotism, but you are absolutey right witht he pic thing. It may be a fetish thing though and a ploy to get someone interested in them, for the simple fact that alot of women "love" a man in uniform! I have heard this time and time again.

You are not being too judgemental at all, just stating your point of view and that is welcomed here. I wish we could leave politics out of our everyday lives, or at least here, but it always creeps it's ugly face in the door.

I myself have vowed no more political issues, but I will poke fun at Dubya and the others. Somone has to do it!

Great post free!
