Little Boy in the Park

I was living in Kansas, and no my name isn't "Dorothy", 25 mile from the Oklahoma border.

A young woman was in the park with her two sons and we struck up a conversation.

She attempted to explain the appearance of her older son who was about three years old.

I said " no need" and pulled out a photo of my nephew/godson who also had Down's Syndrome.

( Note: my nephew was six at that time and died three years later of leukemia)

Don't worry, be Happy

I imagine she was glad to know she had something in common with you; and didn't need to do any "explaining".

Sorry for your loss...

Cor, yes in fact she was very sad that morning and some had told her to institutionalize the child. I mentioned what learning capabilities my nephew had and possibly her son could achieve too.
