Internet Connection

I came home this morning, unpacked my laptop out of the back seat.

Well I attempted to hook it all back up to my desktop ethernet (which still isn't repaired).

I couldn't get here for nearly one and half hours, I contacted my server after speaking to the "robots" who didn't understand me at all.

Finally after all the technical jargon I couldn't comprehend, they told me to plug it into another phone line.

So I grabbed all the stuff to carry into the kitchen. I was speaking to technical support and had left my cell phone in the living room, I asked my son to hand it to me.

Now my son had just heard me speaking to them.
He closed/disconnected the phone and handed it to me.

Anywaysssss, here I am except for a red light for a second on "internet".

I think I'll call Ma Bell for new oulets/plugs/or
whatever they call them.

And the frustration with those that just aren't "in the moment" and don't realize what's going on outside the realm of "them", I'm sure, made your day 100%. I say ARGH!!! for you. lol.

Sorry, I found your jargon confusing! What is a "desktop ethernet"? If you're hooking up your laptop directly to your desktop with an ethernet cable and so called "connection sharing" turned on, that works fine... as long as it works. When it breaks, fixing it isn't fun.

With a small investment, the best setup over the long haul is a router. Depending on how you connect to your ISP (DSL? Cable? Dialup?), you can even get combos where the router can be hooked up directly to the uplink (DSL/Dialup modem, cable feed, etc) or even comes with the capability built in. The big benefits are that you now have a home network, into which units, including expansion switches, can be plugged in and unplugged at will, and the router can be used as a firewall. (And if you go wireless, make sure to change the channel!)
ohhhhhhhh boy, you sound like those 'bots", my desktop went down(crashed)on St Patrick's Day-Mu co-worker's husband bought it for me(I reimbursed him)and loaded it, he is repairing-the little "black box" the server gave me(rented me)is an versalink etherlink or whatever-its "awhatchacallit" gets me on "the net"-so my laptop is borrowing/using my DSL. I've heard of a router and believe I might purchase one-pray for the salesman.

Free,

Hi, it's imLadyBambi (both of us). Unfortunately, for the second time AdultFriendFinder has deleted us from their system (we used to be imBambi). Why? Your guess is as good as ours.

Anyway, starting all over and building up a following for a third time isn't worth it to us. Therefore, we have decided to terminate our participation in Blogland.

In parting, we just wanted to say, "thanks" for your blogs, insight, and friendship. If anyone asks about us, please let them know what happened (we are going to contact some folks in a similar manner but we can't contact everyone).

We love 'ya and may God bless,
Connie and Chuck (aka imLadyBambi, imBambi, AtomicKisss)

Some people are so much in their own little world, they don't realize what's happening to others.

I work nights too so I understand...sometimes the brain just stops working once you get home. For me, sometimes I reach that point before I leave work. lol.

Hope you get it all fixed.
