Well my worst fears came to pass tonight. I finally ran into 'him'. He has been home from the war since mid December. I have only had YIM contact with him since hes been back, nothing more.
Seen him at Lowes tonight while shopping. We just happened to look up at the same time, and I was going to just ignore it. I could NOT walk away with out talking or touching him. Just to prove to myself it was him and he okay.
He talked to me, I got a few hugs, but nothing reached his eyes. A wave good-bye and a promise to call.
But nothing was in his eyes.

I hope you hear from all sorts of VETS..

It is not "normal" to have to go to war.. so how can you expect someone to be "normal" if they have just returned..

If you are loving... it might be returned many times over..

It wasn't returned before he left. T

Ah the "thousand yard stare" you can always see it in someone who's been in a war...I wish I could say people never change...for the worse from being in a situation like that, but if it's any constellation, they change for the better sometimes too!
