Mold Collection

Well I was cleaning out my fridge today and I found some old bread that got moldy. At first I was disgusted at my lack of attention having it there for so long. Then I thought about it more and I have created life in fact alot of it.

I have decided I want to make a mold collection to trump all others. My own personal mold farm to think I could supply pennicillin to pharmaceutical companies. Perhaps even create a new strand of mold that could be used to cure diseases possibly raise sex drive or to carry you off to far distant places. I'd have to find willing subjects to test upon. I'm sure there are plenty on this site willing to try anything though.

I mean with all the fungus spreading through the AL lately. It would be like bringing a piece of this site home with me. A place I can visit to remind me of the value of some of the questions without having to deal with feedback.

Also it seems like a great way to help make me become a fungi. So what are your thoughts and how does one hope to cultivate mold?

All of this is said with tongue in cheek of course.

Ah, the mysteries of a single guy's refrigerator. There are as yet undiscovered life forms in the back of my refrigerator. There is so much glowing back there, that if the light bulb burns out I would not need to replace it. You only need the front of the fridge for the beer bottles anyway. lol

If you think that is bad, I will describe the bathroom in another post. Let's put it this way, I am not much of a housekeeper. lol

Stephen King on drugs or something. Which of course means an excellent series of books. I enjoyed the first 3, and plan on reading and getting lost in the rest of the epic.

Phoenix: no it isn't my bread there was only a tinge on mine. Indeed a couple of mad scientists. I wonder if you can patent a life form.

TMK: perhaps I think I have been infected by the spores though they are getting to my head.

Rudy: Indeed they did now I'm trying to break into the wonderful world of mold. Definitely get to reading the series is great.

Header: I hear you it was excavation back there into a whole ecosystem lol.

It's a shame that they don't make mini-loaves of bread for single people. I'm always throwing out partial loaves of bread with green tinges along the crusts.

Somebody left a bottle of Budweiser in my fridge last summer...do you want to use it towards your research? I'm sure I'll continue to forget to dump it if you change your mind later...lol
