Think outside the bun

I found myself at Taco Bell the other day, or as a good friend of mine calls it, I was at KenTaco Hut, or perhaps I should call it Toxic Hell, as another friend of mine likes to call it.

Regardless, there I was, jonesing for some cheap greazy mexican fast food. Have you ever noticed they have little corny sayings on the hot sauce packets? Thye're like fortune cookies, but dumber.

Well, dumb or not, I always read them.

I found one that said "Nice Palm. I see a great deal of pleasure in your future."

It took a second for the words to sift down into the gutter where my mind always resides, but when they did, I laughed so hard I somehow got ht sauce up in my sinuses. It burnt so bad, but I couldn't stop laughing. The more I thought about it, the funnier it got, and the harder I laughed.

I got lots of funny looks, but I didn't care. It was good to laugh.

I'd have to tastefully frame that and hang it somewhere. Too funny.

I wonder how their writers got away with that one. Toxic hell, thats what I feel like is coming out of me afterward.

And I always say I don't want sauce and look what I've missed! I wonder maybe they were trying to say the sauce would add to your dining pleasure. (Is it legal to call eating Taco Bell dining?)

Not all who wander are lost.

DT, I agree. It would definitely be worth framing. It's just too funny.

gypsy, I didn't realize it either. Who could have guessed they were so sexually liberated there?

saint lianna, I've always been very fortunate in that regard. I know it has that effect on many, but I've never experienced it personally. I can eat breaded jalopenos dipped in tobasco sauce for breakfast if i want - no problem.

T, nope. I couldn't believe it either. I figured some uptight horse's ass on a committe or review board would have caught it some where along the line, but they didn't!

Flinky, I don't think I'd call it dining, but I'm also not sure what I would call it instead.

onelittlesecret. Sorry about the ribs. Snort gasoline and set it on fire - then you'll know how i felt. it hurt so bad, and my ribs ached, but i could not stop laughing.

Valleyrat, I've seen some good ones, but that one takes the cake.

What is this Del Taco you speak of? I've never eaten at one or even seen one.

LOL @ KenTaco Hut. I've never heard that one but I will start using that phrase immediately.

When I was in NY State I saw a combination Taco Bell/Long John Silver's. There's an odd pairing for ya. LOL

I want to meet the person who managed to get that one through! This is one of those blogs that reminds me why I shouldn't sip coffee and read at the same time. I love it...

Yeah, I'm still [blog 1hotwahine]

Other funny ones I have seen (though not quite THAT funny)...

"Of all those sauce packets, why me? why now?" It was trying to escape I think. Must have been tortured in the box by the packet with the "palm" one on it

DCE, I can't take credit for that one. That one belongs to silhouette2005. I often go to McWendyKing, but Sil was the one who got me to try KenTaco Hut.

sweetthang, LOL, that is a good one. I think the dumbest one I've seen was "you had me at taco." I have to laugh at it though, because it's just so stupid.

I can spend forever reading those little sauce packets. I've seen the palm one, but it never hit me seeing how I don't need my palm. But thank you for the profound realization. Good think I like Del Taco better, too.

Del Taco is a west coast thing. I haven't seen it outside of Cali or Nevada. Although a friend tells me Del Taco populates Utah and Arizona too. Try it some time. The foods cheaper and yummier!

Many kisses
