AFF Fitness Challenge Update

Welcome to a new week, everyone. This is my weekly AdultFriendFinder fitness challenge update.

Today I am contemplating the purchase of a body fat calculator, because the scales are not making me happy. Last Monday, I weighed 282. Today, on the same scales, at the same time of day, I weighed in at 286. And yet, I can see and feel a difference in the way my jeans fit. I had to punch a new hole in my belt yesterday to keep them from falling off my ass.


I was not very good with my diet last week. I know how/when/what I should eat, and I didn’t really do what I should. I also spent all weekend with my grandmother, and that woman can COOK! She fed me like a king, and I ate it all without guilt because it’s probably the last time I’ll have the luxury of some one cooking for me until Christmas.

Exercise-wise, I did not get as much aerobic exercise as I wanted, because the ass hats at the bike shop have delayed the repair of my mountain bike, and I did not have time to walk into town to do my errands. I did get a full-body anaerobic workout Monday and Wednesday, and I spent all day Saturday running a chainsaw in between carrying, splitting, and stacking fire wood.

This week I will focus on getting my diet back on track and getting more aerobic exercise into the mix.

Just remember, as you begin working out, the muscle tone will build and weigh in...this was hard for me to deal with when I started working out...weighed the same but everything was getting loose.

DT. Noted. You get loose after a hard workout. I will keep that in mind... perhaps we should make a date at the gym instead of at the resturaunt?

I find the "healthy choice" brand is actually tasty and love the fettucini with chicken.

I swear scales are the bane of any diet. Go by how you look and feel, especially if you are working with weights. When you start needing smaller clothes you know something is working right. I wouldn't worry so much about weighing in.

Have tongue, will use it. Repeatedly.

I think you should not weigh yourself and go strickly by body measurements. When you work out muscle weighs more than fat therefore the additional weight on the scale is muscle gain.

More cardio and lots of protein, no carbs after 4pm...Congrats on the progress so far!

DT, food will be required eventually, but where to fit it in? I don't like to eat before or after prolonged physical exertions, but who has time to take a break?

As for all this talk of barns and smoking.... I sense you are still mad at me for the rope burns.

Dano, thanks for the tip. I may look into those, but the fact is I can cook very healthy and cheap meals. I'm just too damn lazy to go to the store or to do the dishes.

No hostility regarding the rope time just not so tight.

Yes, I agree, you're in enough "trouble" as it is, however T's suggestions pale in comparison to my fantasies....
