What motivates you?

In recent events I had to put kickboxing on hold for two months. So on Monday I got my ass back on the treadmill. I have been doing 1.6 miles in 25 minutes and after that 75 crunches.

This wasn't enough to keep me going. I added some new songs to my MP3 player. Songs that are great for me to work out to. I am going to share with you my playlist.

1. Animals- Nickleback
2. The Impression That I Get- Mighty Mighty Bosstones
3. Ode To The Dollar- The Youth Ahead
4.Crazy Bitch- Buckcherry
5. Mean People Suck- NOFX
6. Jennifer Lost The War- Offspring
7. Remedy- Seether
8. Lump- Presidents Of The United States of America
9. Volcano Girls- Veruca Salt
10. Don't Want To Be You- Good Charlotte

What kind of music gets you motivated for exercizing?

one day I am going to look like the girl in this pic!

Although I will listen to just about any music, dance music goes into my workout playlists (103.5 WKTU for you NY and NJ folks).

An example, which includes a number of dance versions of older songs includes:

1. From Paris to Berlin (DJ Aligator Club Mix) - Infernal
2. Pure Imagination (Wonka Trance Edit) - Ford
3. I Touch Myself (Radio Edit) - Lenny B
4. Mai Ai Hee (Dragostea Din Tei) [DJ Ross Extended Remix] - O-Zone
5. Somebody's Watching Me - Royal Gigolos
6. California Dreamin' (Tek-House Single) - Royal Gigolos
7. Missing (CL McSpadden Unreleased Powerhouse Remix) - Everything But the Girl
8. I've Been Thinking About You (Extended Vocal Mix) - Damae feat. Londonbeat

But then sometimes kick ass rock and roll gets me moving.

Funny... I did not think that you wre the type of guy to listen to dance music. You learn something new everyday.

I like the freestyle music from the 80's, which I think might be considered disco. Debbie Deb, Grand Master Flash, TKO...the list goes on.

What gave you the impression that I wouldn't like dance music? Just curious.
I do like most types of music. From the new Hip Hop and R & B, to old school , rock and roll, heavy metal, jazz, bluegrass, a little country, some opera, some classical, latin, reggae, oldies. Yes, I could even enjoy a polka. Music moves me.
I see you mentioned freestyle. They still do that on WKTU.
And yes I like Grand Master Flash and the like. I am a disco fan because it is how I learned to dance. Needed the heavy beat.
Got XM sattelite radio for the variety and the clarity. I love it.

When I'm at the gym, I usually listen to whatever they have on. The one thing that I do on the treadmill to pass time is fantasize. I like to get a really good sexual fantasy going in my head and the next thing you know 45 minutes has gone by!

However, when I'm out riding in my convertable I like some kick ass music, usually Simple Plan, Maroon 5, Hoobastank, 3 Doors Down and Natasha Beddingfield, to name a few.
