Is there something wrong with wanting a meaningful relationship?

Now I know that a lot of people are under the misconception that this is just a sex site, and that finding someone to have a long term meaningful relationship with is not what this site is about, but that's just not true, I know that there are a lot of people here that want more more than just sex, and I'm one of them, and I can't just jump into bed with someone I just met, I'd like to get to know them first, go out a few times, you know normal stuff, and then if sex happens, then that's great, but I'd rather build something that will last for more than just one night, is that so wrong?

It's not wrong!!! Finally, a man who really cares about something other than sex. Don't get me wrong - I love sex too. But isn't relationships that involve just sex like only eating at the dessert bar?? It's great for a while, but then you start to feel sick to your stomach and start wanting other choices. I'm here because sex is important, but so are all the other components of a good relationship. It would be a one in a million chance if I were to find that here, but it's worth a shot.

I like the way you think

Thank you very much, I was beginning to think I was all alone on this. I like your analogy, referring to a relationship based just on sex to eating only at the dessert bar, I just think there's more to it than just sex, and yes sex is very important, but it's not the only thing, I'd get bored real quick with a relationship that was only for sex. Take care, and thanks again. Don
