Excercise Routine

Over the past few months, i have been trying to put on weight. I thought being a pig will help. By being a pig, i actually mean a couch potato where i have the eat , sleep and having tv as my only stimulation--a visual one of course! As it turns out, the plan did not work and i just grew (not fat) but rather unhealthy.

Then i gave up on putting on weight and decided to be happy with what i have . To get rid of all the laziness embedded by the piggy lifestyle, i did 50 sit ups a day . First it was everyday. Then it got to every month. Hence , i decided to screw that as it was not working out either.

So then, today i decided to follow my dad on one of his cycling adventures . He would go cycling at least 3 times a week and each time he came back with a story. Sometimes its abt people fishing for torises in the river to make tortise soup or even an accident at the other side of my block. At first everything was great. I did forget how to ride a bike for a bit but i got the hang of it immediately. Later on, i almost skid off the track onto the oncoming vehicles on the road. The brakes were screwed if ur wondering why i din use them so i had to stop with my legs. Then came the cobwebs in the low trees that got all over my face. The highlight of the whole adventure of course was the part where the shitty rain water drenched me and my newly shampooed hair. I also have an aching ass... the seat on the bike is so hard!!

Other than that , it was a great work out and i feel refreshed after taking a bath. Well i think this exercise routine will stick cos my dad needs a cycling partner and he will keep bothering me to follow him!

What do u do to keep in shape? Do u even keep in shape? Do u remember to do ur excercise religiously or are u like me who after awhile forgets to do it?

Hi femme

I've got a question.

Is that your pic? Well if that is your pic, i'm wondering why is it that you are trying to put on more weight... It seems perfect to me...

to answer some of your questions... i do try to keep in shape. I do not exercise religiously... what i do is try to not eat fast food. I gave up fast food 3 years ago? Gla to say that i haven't eatedn a single Masdonas burger since. Hope not to til i die... haha. I read 'fast food nation'.

But the nature of my job makes me exercise... will tell you about that if you ask.

I do have another question though... if the guy behaves like that upon leaving the bathroom, he appears to be then revealing his true self. Could you tell that he was going to behave that way? i.e as an asshole before? do you mean that he behaved like a perfect gentlemen until that point?

that's kinda sad and on behalf of mankind... i must apologise. testosterone... makes us a little mad sometimes.

i do enjoy reading your blog, it is one of the more intersting ones here. Actually i was surprised to find real Singaporean women here on the site (not that i've actually communicated with any)... o actually, up to today, i was suspicious... but i guess i was wrong. Singaporean women are meeting mena dn having sex. i'm glad.

i do jogging 5k ,4 times a week, 15 mins strenuous exercise after jogging regularly,but still can't get slimmer,merely maintain the weight because i don't go on diety.
be frank with you,i'm 80 kg,haha,however i don't look fat with my height 165cm but stout.
anyway jogging is salubrious,on one hand i can keep fit,on the other hand i can get refreshed.
at first i jogged merely for the sake of losing weight, but now purely for the feeling.
well,talking about jogging has reminded me ought to get my running shoes replaced,because it's already torn.

I am like you. always start with great enthusiasm but slowly and gradually my quench decreases.. except for one thing.. Thats completly ironical.. more I do more I want to do..

The only excercise i get is playing sports (which doesn't happen that much anymore) and sex... Yet i am a member at a gold's gym...lol... one day i'll actually start going... Just wanted to let you know your blog is really entertaining..it's kept me amused for quite awhile now... So keep it up ma..

Exercise - not getting as much as I used to get in my school and uni days. But I do make it a point to keep fit. I blade mostly and play squash/badminton/tennis whenever I can find the time to do so.

Thanks for ur compliment and yes it really is me. I wanna put on weight cos i feel im a lil skinny. People dont think so but i do. My ideal body type is somewhat like those of beyonce's the healthy curves. Actually there are lots of real women on this site , u just have to find them. But u know, they might be a lil busy considering that the ratio of men to women on this site is 10:1.

I dont see how u can jog. I used to be an athelete in primary school
but after awhile i got bored of it. I guess i get bored easily. Im glad it works for u. Oh you have to buy shoes? Come to think of it, i dont even have a pair of sports shoes. haha

Sex is my favourite "sport" but i dont think it works out all of my muscles. haha So i would not consider it a complete workout. Thanks for ur complements. I try.

hahaa .. i dont think u will catch me cycling cos firstly, i cycle around my neighbourhood and u dont know where that is and secondly, i always go to deserted places to cycle.

hi femme! Nice to meet you. it is an uphill battle to meet women here so i'm really glad to have met you.

To reiterate, you look great in that pic. Beyonce's curves? I don't think you need it. You should consider your body to be in pretty good shape... maybe beyonce is trying to lose a few to look like you!

One more thing... sex is your favourite sport oo? well, when was the last time you exercised?

I excercise three times a week every week. Definitely do not jog. Sometimes I blow it off, like the last two weeks. But I always return, like this week.

ok guess I'm the only one that sits on his big fat ass and dun go out to exercise. I have a california gym membership card thats getting mouldy, the rubber on my rock climbing shoes have hardened, cobwebs are coming out on my blades and the elastics on my trunks have probably also stiffen up. But since I still pass my IPPT and get by hour long sessions in bed, I can't seem to find a reason to be religiously fit

Shouldn't be like sex needs more energy than most non-vigourous sport that's why some people are so into it. Read somewhere there some dude lost 4kg in a month just having sex daily. It is like wow!!!Maybe you can satisfy both your needs this way.

Basic push ups and sit ups, some curls with light hand weights. Went on one of those "im too skinny" rampages myself. The best way to put on weight in that situation(that i have found) is to eat alot at night before you go to bed. You get really screwy dreams though. Or just be happy with what you got and let time worry about that

hiya femme, good to see you're attempting to exercise I gave that up a few years ago but am trying hard to rekindle the effort as I put on a whole lot of weight. Try find that energy and don't regret it till it's a bit late, like for me.

Hi Femme....You don't need to put on any weight..be happy with your body and enjoy life. But is IS good to work out whenever you can...two good ways to go:

Total body workout is a 15 minte sationary bike/stairclimber/treadmill, then start at the legs and work the muscles upward to the abs, chest, shoulders, arms, shoulders and neck. Do several sets of long reps with light weight so you don't lose energy haldway through. Nautilus-type equipment is good for this type workout. Keep the heartrate up..30 seconds between sets.. Finish with a 15 minute stationary bike as a cool down... This is for tone and weight management.

Sectional is another type: start with the bike/stairmaster..work abs, then go 'down' to gluts, thighs, hamstrings, calves and whole leg...finish up with bike/stairmaster cooldown. Use nautilus-type equipment and do fewer sets with equal reps and progressively heavier weights. This builds mass and definition. On alternate day, instead of legs, work abs, then go 'up' from there; to the chest, the shoulders and arms, back and neck. Give the legs a rest from the last workout.

You'll find out that your energy level will increase throughout the day, you'll sleep better, metabolize food quicker and can see changes within a week or two.

Keep in mind you're doing this for you...
