The Color of Love

So I was thinking about colors today. It started out because I'm wearing a green shirt and my green Cons.

That got me thinking about Green Lantern because in his universe green is the color of willpower.

Then I realized that green is also the color of envy.

Red is the color of rage or passion (funny thought.).

Blue is the color of sadness.

Black is the color of not caring, i.e. She has a black heart.

So I got to thinking...what is the color of love?

Pink? Doubtful.

Its funny how we as humans assign unofficial meanings to colors to emotions. To me it seems like bad things get more meanings.

Like take the word love. I have gone to website and typed in the word love and I'm looking for synonyms. I found 13 entries for the word love with a use like "I love Ruth."

Now if I do the same thing with the word hate I get 50 entries.

Am I the only one that is a little saddened by that thought?

Maybe its a society thing...maybe its a worldly thing.

And we wonder why the world has gone to hell in a hand basket.

Great point,.. so many these days are so "self absorbed",.. all about me . I really like the definition of love I grew up with. Love is long-suffering and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, does not get puffed up, does not behave indecently, does not look for its own interests, does not become provoked. It does not keep account of the injury. It does not rejoice over unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. I think it would be so great if people would refocus and take the time to see and understand that if you do and feel for others (genuinely) then it will come back to you. Love,.. like saying one is sorry, is not a weakness. K~
