Exiled On Main Street
Exiled On Main Street
I'd like to express my gratitude to all of you who took the time to read my blogs, I've really
enjoyed the experience and hope that some of my
writings touched folks in one way or another.
I'm exiting this site, my subscription expired today (1/5/06) and will really miss reading your great blogs and attempting in my country-boy way to imitate or mirror some of those talented and
creative reads. I didn't find alot of sex on this site but I found some very real and wonderful people and for that, it was worth every
single penney spent. I fell in love with Fly, as well as most of the women I viewed but never got the opportunity to tell 'em, and feel a real loss at the prospect of no more blogger-friends.
But I can still be found at hot mail where I'm oneelectricbob or over at the ah-choo ( sounds like) site and known as electricbob50, can you feel me here? Hopefully some of you will stay in touch, and I still have a million stories, songs, poems, and other assorted literary junk
that I'd enjoy sharing.
Did I ever tell you folks that Mark Twain, actually, Samuel Clemens, is my all time favorite
author. Yeah, a guy who wrote stories back in the
late 1800's. His observations and subtle twists
in this story-telling was ground-breaking for his
time, and created a national awareness that reading good writing/stories lets us escape our
problems or circumstances one page at a time. If ever any of you care to check him out beyound the Huck Finn or Tom Sawyer facade, ask your local library for a copy of Twains' 'Mark Twain UnEdited', one of the greatest Americana style collections of short stories. Some very crazy stuff at a time when crazy wasn't very easy to push by the censors and moral prudence inherit of
our country's puritan heritage.
Anyway, blogs enabled me to put my own 'Twain' out here on the information hiway ( Al Gore invented it you know )and I've had one hell of a
enjoyable time doing just that. Hopefully I haven't offended too many, hopefully I've helped a couple of smiles to break across all the nameless faces. Either or," I might be going to hell in a bucket but at least I'm enjoying the ride-" (Grateful Dead)and I'll catch you all on the other side! Peace, Bob ooops, trivia question: the title of this blog/post is taken from a bands album. Who was the band? What year?
Name Two Songs on the album?
