Gremlin in the machines

I must have hit some bad technological mojo the other day.

I'm pretty rough on my high-tech gizmos, cords in particular. The tugging, grasping all seem to put alot of wear and tear, and this time it was too much.

After heading home from Starbucks, I plugged right back in to continue conversations, get some writing proposals done, etc etc, but, after a hour or so, I looked at my power icon, and I saw the half empty battery showing. I checked my connections, only to find everything connected, and the little green light showing on the adapter box. Not good, I thought. Well, when I pulled the cord and shifted the box to see if some loose wires would reconnect under the casing, and sparks flew out of the connection between the wire and the casing.

No, definitely not good.

Well, God forbid I go more then a day without my computer. So Come morning, I've spent 2 hours opening up the casing. and splicing wires, and using alot...I mean ALOT, of electrical tape.

But, Its working. And yes, I did order a overnight replacement one. I'm liable to start a fire here.

Now I'm trying to fix a jig saw one of my guys couldn't fit a blade into. And apparently Dewalt doesn't have this model number on its website. Lovely

Random Song lyrics:
I began to warm and chill
To objects and their fields,
A ragged cup, a twisted mop
The face of Jesus in my soup
Those sinister dinner deals
The meal trolley's wicked wheels
A hooked bone rising from my food
All things either good or ungood.
