it has been said that it takes half as long to get over a relationship than the length of if the relationship lasted 4 years,it would take 2 years to get over it...which sucks if you are like me who doesn't really do the quickies..i mean i can have casual sex,but not casual relationships...i am very guarded with my heart...i don't rent it out...but that also means i use alot of time to heal..when a relationship dies,it is get involved again the same week is....i don't know...disrespectful...i hate people that shop around when they are involved...they won't break up with somone till they have another lined's a relationship, not a job! if it isn't working, get some balls and end it..

by the are you?LOL

hmmm.... I've actually found that it takes almost exactly the same amount of time to 'really' be over it - 1.5 if it was incredibly traumatic; but walking, talking, and ready to 'move on'... that seems safe distance. *s*

I do think people getting out isn't a bad idea, it's too easy to isolate and then later realize you've forgotten how to confidently and easily be with people. Just like it takes real time to be free of a relationship, it can also take some time to realize that you want it to be over. -v
