The start

My first contribution to this ever expanding Blogging world.
It is upon request of two wonderful ladies that I start this, but let me state at first that it will on a very unregular base.

So let’s start with:

Ikea on saturday evenings.
Last week Ikea has been voted best shop in Holland with a score of 7.6 at a scale 0-10. If that is the best shop in Holland then we have a lot to improve. Maybe the issue of the large numbers has effected this ranking cozz I imagine that everyone in Holland (and elsewhere too) has been taking that pointed out walking road through the Ikea’s in the world.

When I am out on the road, and especially in Sweden, once in a while I popped in to see what the main difference is in the shopping environment. Taste the atmosphere (if it can be called that), see the people, watch prices, maybe buy something, etc. Doesn’t matter where I was, Singapore, Sydney, Moscow, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Göteborg, Helsinki. You name it and I walked some Ikea’s and also other shopping centres (ladies where can you find a guy like me, who does the shopping routing ?).

Now one thing surprised me on a Saturday night at Ikea. It was packed with young people having dinner there.
Are there no decent restaurants ? Is that the future of our society, Ikea on Saturday evenings ?
And also the ‘Ballenbak’ was packed with children, dropped by their parents.

I know smashed potatoes, hot sausage and curry sauce is a well known Swedish fast food item. I even can accept meatballs and herring to see there. But I expected old fooks to eat those and not nice looking twen-girls or fashionally dressed peepz.
