That's a Rad Ride
That's a Rad Ride
In my blog, I Love My Truck!, I shared the experience where we went 4x4ing and the truck my daughter(2) was in nearly flipped because it was teetering on two wheels. We have been out in the desert once since then and it terrified her because of her previous experience. Today I wanted to go rompin' again so I could relieve some stress. She was terrified and didn't want to go, but we convinced her we would go somewhere else. Hesitantly, she climbed in the truck.
By the way things are still great with my man and I. There is some stress, but not between us. His wife is not dealing with our relationship very well and has stressed him out, in turn, that stresses me. The divorce papers have been filed.
I had my truck and my sons friend was in his truck. I missed the turn I wanted to go to but it ended up being a great mistake because we found a levy and we were able to catch some speed and air while tossing roosts about 6 feet in the air and about 20 feet behind us. We threw several brodies and the dust flew throughout the land. I am sure we pissed off a few people who were down wind from us. It was flatland and it was not scary to my daughter. She told me when we were done, "That's a rad ride!" I giggled as I looked at my nine year old as she used that phrase. I am hoping this will warm her up to going rock climbing with us again soon.
I had a total blast. She did too. Let's go rompin'!!!
Are you more resilient than you think? What have you said you could never get through only to find yourself surviving it...and even thriving afterward?

I want my Thunderbird back! It's no truck, but it sure could ride! I loved speeding in that car... opening the top... it was so much fun!
Kudos to you for being such a rad mom!!!
