OW! Part II, The Untold Story

Back in October I posted a blog called OW!. Within that blog explained how I wrestled with my trash can and lost.

Recap:

The trash comes on Tuesday mornings, and I am usually scrambling to the side of the road with our dumpsters as the trash man is coming down the street from the neighbors. This particular day was Monday and I decided that we were going to get the trash out then so I didn't have to run like a maniac dragging my two dumpsters behind me just to make the trash deadline.

Well, one of the dumpsters was empty, but I had a couple of trash cans that needed emptied into that dumpster. The lid was open, and it hung to the side and dragged on the ground as I tipped it down to roll it on it's wheels. Due to the fact that it was dragging, I didn't pay attention and stepped on it, which made me stop abruptly. I of course was off balance and caught myself with my other foot. In doing so, I stepped on the lid of the dumpster with my other foot. I was not so fortunate this time, I lost balance, and fell inside the trash can. In return I sustained some injuries. In my original story I complained about a head, arm, ankel injury, but what I found out the next day is that my knee was seriously injured.

Since then I have hobbled around when my knee decides it does not want to work right. Well, which brings me to last nights series of unfortunate events.

We are going away for the weekend. We'll be gone Friday - Sunday. I have hired a house and pet sitter and I am trying hard to get my classroom completely set up before I leave. My boyfriend and I accomplished a LOT yesterday. Last night when we returned home from grocery shopping I stepped on a stack of sheet rock that still remains in my parking space from when I remodeled in November. I told the boys that the groceries in the bags was camping food and not to eat it and I wanted the sheet rock moved before it's entirely ruined. I went to step off the sheet rock and the tarp was slippery from the last few days of rain and I slipped which caused me to land on my left foot hard. My leg was jarred and the old trash can knee injury was made worse. I could not put any weight on it, and I barely made it to the front porch step to sit down. My boyfriend massaged it, iced it, heated it, he did everything to make sure that I was okay. Unfortunately, we could not make love last night, because I was a pussy and could not endure jarring to my leg at all.

Five-thirty this morning the alarm blares. "Honey, I need to go to the bathroom."

"Okay." He said as he got up out of bed to help me to the bathroom.

When I was done, I stood up and started to walk. My knee hurt and I was limping, but I was able to walk alone. That is something I could not do at all last night. I walked into our bedroom and he sat up straight in the bed to assist me. I told him to relax I was fine. I climbed back into bed with him and we made love. After, we showered. Then I packed his lunch and sent him off to work. He called me on his way to work and told me that he had my car keys. After I twisted my knee last night, he got in my car to get my cigarettes. He slipped my keys in his pocket. Since he does not officially live here yet, he slipped on his clothes from yesterday. When he got home and changed clothes, he found my keys.

I have a ton of stuff to do at work today, but decided I was not going in till all the laundry was done. Not having my keys is not going to be a problem at all. I did fall asleep after putting the first load in, so I could have had all but one load done had I stayed awake.

Duststorm...sorry to hear your knee is giving you problems. Making love is always the best medicine for about 99.9% of what ails us. Glad to hear you were able to use the "cure."

I know it's not funny - having chronic back pain myself - but the ways we are able to hurt ourselves are sometimes too funny!!! (Unless of course it's happening to you!)

Ah, Its you again, Your Angel Feathers and your Blood Stains...

Being with my man, I am cured. He is the best and any time I spend with him, whether talking, eating, sleeping, making love, it is the best and he cures a lot of what ails me. He takes great care of me.

I think it's hilarious that I wrestled with the trash can and lost. Now that I look back on it, it's very funny that I ended up IN the damned thing! LOL I, however, don't think it's funny that I slipped on the tarp covering the sheet rock. But, I guess I should not have been walking on it. I can be such a dumb ass.
