How Patient Can I Be?


Back in January, my washer died. This was the third large appliance I had replaced in a years time. The first being my refridgerator. We bought a used fridge. After my father died, my stove/oven died. I bought a brand new one on a quick three month payment plan. As I stated above my washer quit working in January, so being low on cash and unable to get loans, because I don't have the best of credit, I went to a rent-to-own type of place. While there I got my big screen tv and a brand new washer and dryer set.

About two months ago, my refridgerator that we bought, used, last year, stopped working. My boyfriend bought me a new one. So in the past year I have bought two fridges, a stove, and renting to own a washer and dryer. Well, before the fridge went out, my brand new washer broke. Since I am renting to own it the place I am getting it from replaced it with a used one while my new one was sent in for repairs. The repair place said that if they had to come and pick it up, it would take a month to fix, but if I could take the washer to them, it would be fixed in two days. I called the rent-to-own place and explained my predicament. They said, "No problem, we'll come and get it and give you a loaner." Problem solved. But this was after a week of waiting for some reason.

Well, over a month had gone by and I called the rental place and asked them what the status was on my washer. This is where it gets complicated.

"I am renting to own my washer and dryer set and my washer had to go in for repairs over a month ago, can you please tell me the status of that? Normally, I would not care, but I am paying for a brand new one and the temperary one is used."

"The repair place may be closed at this time, but I'll call first thing in the morning and let you know."

"Okay, thanks."

The next day comes and goes and in the mean time I evaluate my bills, and I have really fucked a few things up. I considered sending the big screen back, but called to see if they could defer a payment for me. They agreed, but I had to go in and sign an agreement. While on the phone with them I asked about my washer. They tell me it's done, but needs to be picked up and they would call me for a delivery time. Well, I went to sign the agreement on Saturday and they had just closed 15 minutes before. They were closed on Sunday, so I went in first thing Monday morning. I asked about the washer, and the same ass that was helping on the phone said it would be delivered on Wednesday July 5.
Before we could set up a delivery time, a customer interrupted and the ass forgot about me and I stood there staring at him. Finally, I asked, "So that will be delivered on Wednesday?"

"Yes, if you want to set up a delivery for that time."

"Yes, please. Thank you."

I left without setting up a delivery time. On Wednesday morning, I get a call from them, "Hi, this is Veronica, I was wondering when you could come in and make a payment?"

"I got an extention on my payments till the 15th."

"YOu did? Who did you talk to?"

"Ray, and it was approved by Carlos."

"Oh, I'm sorry, I'll check with them."

"It sounds to me the communication leaves a lot to be desired there."

"Yes, I guess so."

"Since you have me on the phone, can you please connect me to one of them I am due to have my washer delivered today, I need to know what time to expect it."

She puts me on hold and the phone is picked up, "Hello, this is Ray, can I help you?"

"Hi Ray, This is Dusty Diva, I am supposed to have the washer delivered today, what time can I expect that?"

"This afternoon."

"Can you narrow down the time frame for me?"

"Between 3 and 5."

"Okay, sounds great!"

At 5:05 I get a phone call, "Hello, Ms. Diva, This is Ray from the Rental store. I am sorry, but there was a mix up on the account numbers at the repair place and your washer was not picked up today, but we can deliver that tomorrow."

"What time tomorrow?"

"We'll have it delivered first thing tomorrow."

"What time will that be?"

"YOu will be our first delivery at 11:00."

"Okay, thanks."

The next day, 11:00 rolls around and passes by. At 11:45 I call and ask about the status on the delivery. Ray tells me that there was a mess up on the scheduling and there was not going to be a driver there till later in the afternoon. He asked if it could be delivered then. I told him no because I had plans so we set up a delivery time for the next day at 11:00, which was today.

At 12:30 I call, and Carlos the manager answers the phone and I tell him the run around I have been through and wanted to know when I could be expecting my washer. He said he would call the drivers and get back with me. Well, two hours pass by and still I had not heard from him. I call back at 2:30 and inquire yet again about the delivery. He tells me they were supposed to deliver to you the first thing, but they went to Willcox and skipped you by. They are in route as we speak so you are priority for the next stop. Now I am pissed. I asked, "When will that be?"

"Well, they are in route now. Your washer is on the truck and you are the next stop. I could tell you they will be there at 3:00, but if something happens and they aren't... so I'll tell you they will be there by 4:00."

He detects extreme pissed off in my voice. "Ms. Diva," he said, "In order to rectify our mistake you will not be expected to make your next payment."

"Will it be added to the end of my contract?"

"No, you will not have to pay for it at all."

"Okay."

When I am pissed I clean, and bitch and clean and bitch. My poor girls. I started cleaning and gave them until 4:05 to be at my house. I was getting ready to call the rental place and my daughter said, "Mom, Axxxn's is here."

Come to find out my washer has not been picked up from the repair place yet, and they brought me a brand new washer.

So, I have been given the run around from this place and they lied to me. But I did get a brand new washer out of it and one less payment. The things they did to smooth out there mess was nice, but now I have a lack of trust with them, because of the dishonesty. If it was not half way through the contract I'd tell them what they can do with their fucking appliances. I won't cut of my nose despite my face.

I won't be as patient the next time.

yupz, sounds like this is the last of your business with them.... sheesh, some businesses just don't get it

I do my best cleaning when I am pissed off. I just don't stay pissed off to finish what I started! LOL

I was calm. I didn't cuss anyone out, but Carlos KNEW I was NOT happy.

This is true. After the big screen and the washer and driver are paid off, they will never get my business again.

I am considering going back to silver on this site so I can do the fancy blogs. I'll decide after I go back to work. It really depends on how much I blog.

Well, then, I have not figured out how to frame my text or change the background color. But if the 'responding' and 'see where you're quoted' is the only thing, it might be better to stay standard. I'll see. I don't need to pay to be here, and I am here only for the blogs. I am not looking, will not look, will not accept any invitations for networks, or sex solicited emails. My man makes me very happy, I don't need anyone else.

Oh yes, I can't do the fancy fonts either, unless there is a codeI must use for those, then I need to learn it.
