AFF Networks

I was just viewing my network of 63 members. Most of who I don't even keep in contact with. Out of curiosity I changed my privacy settings so that others can see me in someones network. Now that I know what it does, I am not sure if I will keep it set to those settings. Maybe I will. Just undecided.

How often do you rely on your network to keep in touch with people? Do you want to join others networks just to see the photo albums?

The "network" is still one of the things around here that I'm completely mystified by. I've never invited anyone to be part of my network but recently had my first invite but I still don't "get it".

Other than seeing peoples photos what other benefits do you get with this?

Other bafflements

chat
winks
messages

there are more but these are currently my most confusing issues around here.

Main chat question, do I need any chat software of my own or can I simply "plug in" to it through the site itself.

I have always deleted any native chat software that came with any of my browsers BTW.

im still kind of new to this but from what i can gather by being in someones network you increase your chances of having your profile read. the more networks you are in the more people will see you. i myself only have three in mine but thats because i am only a standard member and cant send invites i have to wait to be invited, which is far and few between unfortunately.
so please feel free to invite me, or if you want to chat im normally in new zealand chatroom.

take care
ya friendly lil smurf

Well mine only has bloggers in it and I must admit its mostly about the photo albums. a lot of people do use face photos on their profile but do one or two in their network albums and its always nice to see what friends look like

Thank You for Your Time and Attention

I've been wanting to make a comment to your blog ever since finding it, but your posts have been of a very personal nature lately (and it has been so generous of you to share all of that with us) and since I really don't know you that well (yet), I thought it was best if I didn't butt in. But this is a good post to comment on.

Being a standard member, I don't get to view very good pics of the people I talk to; so, I have to admit, that is one very good reason for wanting to be in someone else's network. I haven't had lots of luck in the chat rooms, mostly because of how bad the program is that they use, but that's just my opinion. And no, you don't need any special software to pop into a room, but their IMC was useless to me; but then, I've got an old PC with dial-up. Anyway, now, since I've discovered Blogland, I use this more than the few people I have in my network, although it is always nice to receive an invite. And yes, SensuallyKatey, I think your group idea is a good one, although I have yet to join any of the groups. Well, duststormdiva, I think I may have gotten off the subject and much too long here, so, let me just say that I really enjoy following your blog. Thanks.

amrock2 not much special happens to be invited to a network. I think blogging and getting responses is more personal.

II have invited over 100 people to my network, 50 accepted, 25 declined and 32 are hanging out there in cyber space. I find that it does not seem to mater with the ones that accepted compared to just profiles I see on being able to contact them. Most of the contacts, about 98% seem to go in the wastebasket. I suspect that it is because most of my network is women and from what I hear from the ones I do make contact with they get so many emails that they just ignore most of them. Of course it could be my age working against me even though I am Healthy, almost Wealthy and Wise and not that bad looking, at least that’s what I’m told.

And Dusty I don’t see where I ever sent you a network invitation so one is on the way.

Michael_IG65 I have face shots of me in my network. But I don't display naughty photos of myself on this site. Never will. If a man really wants to know what my body parts look like, he needs to capture my attention.

BigGirlzRSweet now and then I access my network to see if there are any photos to look at. One of the neatest part of the network is that you can leave testimonials about other members. I feel that leaving a testimonial for someone is a great feature, but I use it ONLY if I have met someone.

I only have one "friend" in my network. On one of my early days on this site i was roaming around the chat rooms clicking on everything just to see what it did. (Thats the best way to learn a thing that I have found as of yet.) I was surpised to se that the lnvite to friends network actually worked that time. (I have yet to figure out why it works for some profile and not for others but thats neither here nor there.) She had one picture in her photo album. but other than that I have never been able to get any use out of the friends network. I cannot view your profile as I am a standard member but if you would like to invite me to your friends network I would gladly accept.
