I am having a ball

I hear that there are a lot of people not happy with the way things go here - but I just think they are not trying. I have meet a lot of wonderful people here - well not actually meet them in the physical way - well some I have - but you get what I'm trying to say - I hope.
Young people, older people, people from the USA and people from way beyond these boarders - real people - people with things to say - thoughts and feelings to share - and a lot of them not afraid to take it to the real world - damn - that is just awesome.
Think about it - how many of us would have the conversations we have here with perfect strangers in the "real" world. Sometimes makes me wonder if this world isn't a bit more real.
And - don't start about all the fakes - yes - I'm not stupid - I know they are out there but I gotta admit - I feel sorry for them - not angry - sorry - sorry that they don't think enough of themselves to be real - how sad is that.
So - to all the real people - thanks for being here and I hope I get to "talk" with you all at some point - and for crying out loud - don't be shy - say "hi".

In the " real " world if you saw someone interesting and you walked up to them and asked , are you married , do you have a boyfriend , can I have your number ? They would run to the closest policeman ! ! Here you can be open and people will see who you are and either get to know you or just ignor you . Keep smiling

In blog land you can read a post and shout right back with a note like this but would you do the samething in real life. Walk up to a stranger and start a conversation. I do this all the time it drives some of my friends nuts( do you know that person?)I find it's a great way to meet new friends and to learn about what others are thinking. so HI right back to you, want to work on cars or boats with me sometime or play with personal tools.

I'm too shy to do this in real life but it's people like you the rest of count on to pull us out of our shells - keep up the good work and thanks for stopping by.

I just joined this week and I agree with you that this is a great place to meet people(though that hasn't happened yet). If I was walking through Giant shopping and met you I would never start talking about this site or what I've seen on it. I think people naturally "close" themselves in so protect the people around them and more or less themselves(being too shy etc.). I am very excited about meeting people if only I could figure out how to download pictures from my computer to my homepage!(help)HAHAHAHA!

Well if you are shopping in the same Giant I do - and you see me - feel free to say hi - I'll probably blush but I won't get upset. I hope you meet a lot of good people here like I did.

Thanks for saying hi !

Yeah, I've never had much problem being real. Actually ... sometimes had problems for not holding back. I had to get out of the military after my 4 years before I dared to say what I felt about some "superiors". Especially my first shirt. Ugh!

But anywho, yeah, it's always cool to chat with real people. Hell, it's even fun to chat with fake people sometimes.

Now if only we had Star Trek teleporters so that we could all meet without having to travel.
