pensive

2 Suggestive or expressive of melancholy thoughtfulness.

Synonyms: pensive, contemplative, reflective, meditative, thoughtful

These adjectives mean characterized by or disposed to thought, especially serious or deep thought. Pensive often connotes a wistful, dreamy, or sad quality: “while pensive poets painful vigils keep” (Alexander Pope). Contemplative implies slow directed consideration, often with conscious intent of achieving better understanding or spiritual or aesthetic enrichment:

Meaning - my mind is racing in thought, the tv set on all channels, dreamy, yes, sad yes, wistful, yes there is great yearning, sad, well more like melancholy, like looking out at the sea and your the lighthouse but there is no one around to see you, so you just shine on like a crazy diamond, dreamin, waiting, slow but directed hopeful to one day achieve the painting of my day beautiful, with her in my arms.
