Why do good girls like bad guys.

The title says it all. DMX had a song about it so I know I ain't the only one seein this ish. What's with good (and bad) girls staying with a guy who repeatedly treats them like shit. It's not that these women are stupid. They are sensible enough to tell their sisters the right thing when a guy is maltreating 'em but when it comes to themselves the problems are never too small to sweep under the rug. They're certainly sexy enough to get another guy yet they don't.

The oddesst thing I've observed is that many of these women after being so badly burned finally leave the bad guy then proceed to fuck up the one decent guy they meet. Things go sour, they break up and the cycle begins once again.

This phenomenon knows no age limit so far. This ain't hollywood. This ain't chick flick movie with the nice warm ending. This is life and you are in control of it. Why try to force the happy ending when there blatently isn't one?

Anyone care to explain/disagree?

I'm lookin for a lady who is
pretty, witty, girly, whirly
one who likes to party but come home early
light kinda dark, short sorta tall
slim, kinda thick I swear I love 'em all

Peace.

Although it does work the other way around..I have met guys who have women who dump on them terrible--but they keep them around and ignore the good ones!

well... assuming you're one of the "good guys"... please don't let this experience of girls going for the bad guys embitter you or cause you to switch over to being a jerk. i've seen one too many "good guys" get fed up with it, and do the "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" thing. i tried and tried talking them into holding out just a little bit longer, have patience and faith... by staying true to themselves they WILL win. But to no avail. I actually know at least one nice guy on this site who's decided to follow that path too. but at least he'll continue being a nice guy to ME. else i'll kick his butt.

best of luck. {=}
and if you happen to stop by my blog: there's a link to "Ode to the nice guys" and another to a rant about the same topic.

I not gonna deny this but one has to admit the scale is tipped on one side and it's with respect to the ladies.

Haha thanks for the words of encouragement but doh misinterpret this entry in my blog. It ain't a rant or about embitterment. Just an observation/trend that I'm trying to understand to how should I say...avoid future mishaps.

Hmmm I am not so sure if I'm a good one or a bad one...I'm the bad guy in bed for sure if you know what I mean

sometimes the guys think they are better than they really are nobody sees the bad in theselves, what we should learn is every action bring anequal and sometimes opposite reaction

I'm not talking about guys who don't see the bad in themselves. Then they would just be bad guys anyway. Also every action causes an equal and opposite reaction...in physics! This ain't physics. Tit for tat nonsense in relationships helps noone. Justifying doing a bad action in response to a bad action is being simple minded.
