Leaving my Marriage

help, i need some advice on howto make that step and actually leave my wife, i've been unhappy for nearly 2 and a half years (which is why i came on here to find friends with a view to getting to know people a bit better and taking it from there)and have tried everything to try and save it, but i feel i have no strength to carry on, and am mentally, physically and emotionally tired, can't remember the last time i felt good about myself or was made to feel good about myself.

does anyone have any advice on how to go about this?, any advie other than 'just get up and go' would be of great help

Thanks

If this is what you truly want/need, you should do some planning. Finding a place to live, furniture (assuming that your wife will keep what you have now), and furnish it.

Find yourself a female friend, at the very least. It is very difficult to leave someone you've shared so much with even if you've moved on and into another relationship. It is almost impossible to do it without support and completely on your own. I stuck it for 3 months and then went back because I was lonely - it was a mistake.

i have the support of my 2 good friends, however neither of them is female (one is gay, the other is married), don't want to burden someone else with my troubles though, although it would be nice to have someone to help heal the hurt

Getting a third person into it would not help, save your self respect and do it the right way. Plan your finances, start buying things you'll need to start over and store them at a friends or something. Its best if you break the news to her as your half way out the door. Nothing like spending more time in the house after making that announcement, its hell! I KNOW!
Prepare and make that leap of faith, you'll be okay.
