Be Thankful You Can See

Have you ever seen the reflections, of the full moon on a lake,
Have you ever caught fireflies, to prove that they weren’t fake;
Have you ever watched the sun set, sitting on the oceans beach,
Have you ever saw a shooting star, which looked just out of reach.
Have you ever seen a tornado, destroying everything in its path,
Have you ever seen a hurricane, as it hit’s the coast in its wrath;
Have you ever felt an earthquake, dismantling all on its course,
Have you ever seen a title wave, when it demonstrates waters force.
Have you ever seen a peaceful wale, as a harpoon shreds through its spine,
Have you ever seen a glorious bald eagle, as it gets fried on a power line;
Have you ever seen a beautiful jaguar, which was killed just for its fur,
Have you ever seen a magnificent elephant, slain because its ivory tusk was pure.
Have you ever seen a lightning bolt, so bright that it lit up the sky,
Have you ever seen a volcano erupt, as its ashes would shoot a mile high;
Have you ever seen a solar eclipse, as the earth blocks light on the moon,
Have you ever seen a lunar eclipse, as everything seems dark in the afternoon.
Now imagine there being a lunar eclipse, every time you open your eyes,
And imagine hearing all of this, not knowing if it’s all truth or lies;
Just imagine hearing “it’s a shooting star”, hurry up and make a wish,
But you’ve made this wish forever, because there’s only one on your list,
So remember your eyes will see beauty, and your eyes will see fate,
Your eyes will see your friendship, and your eyes will see your hate;
Some things you don’t want to watch, and you’ll close eyes not to see,
But just remember there are blind people, who’ll only imagine how it would be.
