under where?

What kind of underwear do you wear? Are you into exploring different styles, or do you stick with the old and familiar? Have you ever tried 'cross-dressing'? (cross-under-dressing?)...

i was raised wearing standard womens briefs. have gone thru various phases over the years... my current favorites being high-cut briefs or string bikini. i can't stand the boy-leg cut, and tanga's... i have a pair but haven't gotten used to them yet. also... i love lace. and color. and designs. the thought of being dressed in a conservative dress-suit, but knowing underneath i'm wearing rainbow-plaid bikini panties, or sexy see-thru lace, amuses me. (yes: i really do own a bright rainbow-plaid string bikini... rather garish, but they just make me happy).

As for what i like seeing men in? i guess almost anything (or nothing!) works. i actually really like plain-ol' "tighty-whiteys' if they fit good (hmm... if you're going to wear loose and droopy: go with boxer shorts. they're supposed to fit that way!). if a man wears bikini, or g=string, or whatever... i guess it would all depend on the guy himself on whether i liked it or not. i also think boxer-briefs look good, and very comfortable... which brings me to the next topic:

Crossdressing... have you ever tried 'the other side'? i have heard or read of women wearing men's underclothing before. i'm not sure how common the practice is. maybe most 'borrowing' is due more to necessity than desire. Ever since i saw my brother in boxer briefs, i've liked them (that was the first time i saw them ever). they just looked SOOOO comfortable. he assured me they are. well... i've been looking around for comparable women's wear ever since. they now have a boxer-brief for women, but the picture looked little better than boy-short style which i hate. so last week i got brave and actually bought a package of men's B-B's *blush* needless to say they really ARE as comfortable as they look. and you gotta love my family... i laughed and told my brother of what i did, and he never batted an eye... just commented on how long it took him to convince other (male) family members to try them. the only problem i have with them is the... um... pocket (just not sure what to do with it). lol. i'm actually almost too embarressed to wear them, even with me the only one knowing. still: they are amazingly comfy.

Yah, I started wearing boxers 'round about seventh grade. I switched to boxer briefs a few years ago, though I'll occasionally still buy a pair of the old school style. Like you say, BBs are very comfortable. And YOU would do nothing with the "pee slot", unless you're very talented.

Only problem with BBs is that they wear out quicker than old school; you get tears in the crotch after a year or two. You can still wear them, and do if they're a particularly comfy pair, but....

It never occurred to me that there was anything wrong with wearing underwear that had a few tears/rips in them until a woman I was with laughed at them. Her comments were basically that I wasn't the first guy she knew who wore ripped boxers, and that women don't do that... they throw their underwear out at the first sign of distress.

DSK - is this true?

well... whether or not i throw mine out depends partially on how comfortable they are, partially on if i feel like spending $ on more, and whether or not i get to it. sometimes i mean to throw them out but they keep ending up in the wash, so i wear them again. but yes: usually they get thrown out. and i'd never let a guy see me wearing worn out ones. lol.

as for the 'pocket'... i actually thought briefly that i could sew it and turn it into a pocket. store a few bills there when i'm wearing a skirt (i never carry a purse). but that would be stupid, besides the fact that it's the wrong angle. though i have seen some women's underwear with actual pockets in them... they sell them at WalGreene's. i'll go peek at the links you sent

Hmm...ok, I wear briefs. Wore "tidy whiteys" from childhood til just a couple of years ago, then made the big step to COLORED briefs. My favorite is black
Never really understood boxers personally...probably because the shorts I wear around the house are loose running shorts like boxers without the hole, and I would keep wanting to put on briefs under the boxers lol...besides, think they would be too baggy to wear under scrub bottoms...
BTW as a side poll---how many guys really use the "pee-pocket"? It may be easier with boxers, but it just seems too damn much work and self-fondling to wrestle "Herbie" out that multi-layer hole when you can just pull down the front of the briefs and let loose...Or am I just lazy? lol

that is an interesting side-poll. hope others answer. i was actually wondering myself about how well it works for guys to do that. lol. maybe THAT is why so many "miss".

I almost always use it... when I'm outside. I don't want to undo all my gear, then have hold my pants with one hand, hold my penis with the other, and have to worry about the wind or splashback at the same time. And in the winter??? You simply can't undo everything, so it's a quick unzip, fumble around, pull it out, go, put it back in, instinctively check to make sure nothing is in the way of the vicious teeth of the zipper, zip up.

I live in a rural area surrounded by pinetrees, so there is much outside peeing; I've even a tree that my nephews call the "pee tree." Besides, I hate using a couple gallons of water to get rid of a few ounces of urine.

typically wear briefs ... did the tidy (tighty?) whiteys for almost 4 decades out of inertia. I have switched to colors and patterns (maroon, black patterns) and high cut (even a couple of bikini-cut).

Have owned a couple of silk bozers for around the house but like VG1
found them easily torn, and besides I prefer to lounge/work around the house naked.

I'm with SK2005 on the matter of freeing willy ... much easier to just pull down the briefs. Occasional risk of having the elastic band slip out of your fingers and snap shut on willy mid-stream (WHOOPS!)
is offset by the added assurance that there is almost no risk of willy getting trapped in the zippered jaws of death.*

cheers

TTT
PS> * had that happen when I was 11 ... had to get Dad to undo me.

Its briefs for me! I find boxers to loose. When I go to sit down if my equipment is not in the right place it can be darned uncomfortable and in a social setting, difficult to correct. With briefs its a sinch, everything stays where it is supposed to. This is especially when things unexpectedly heat up, in boxers I look like I am on parade whereas in briefs no one is inadvertantly subjected to this uncontrolled display.

I had a former girlfriend (and soccer Betty) who told me that soccer players should only wear boxer briefs. All the better to show off theirs legs and arse.

I went from tidy whities to boxer briefs that day and have never gone back.

I wear boxers and stretch boxers. The only problem I run into with boxers is that they some times rub my stuff in a way that gives me a boner. Um.. actually I’m not sure if that’s a problem or a benefit. Stretch boxers are comfy and warm in the winter time and hold everything in place well. I can’t stand anything where the seams are up around my crotch, they tend to bite in and rub wrong. The other thing I wont do is cotton shorts. Silk or the new micro-fiber synthetic stuff doesn’t hold sweat in as is way more comfortable.
