music: korn - twisted transistor

i've been having a lot of anal sex recently. i wonder if that's weird... i suppose its up to me to decide that or not and well, yes, i think its unusual for me. i generally only do that when i'm having an orgasm, or right after because that's when it is the most enjoyable. not these past few times, although i still enjoyed it a lot. there's something deeply satisfying about being face down on a bed or whatever available source you may have screaming your lungs off.

in other news, i've been working on yet another erotic short story. i was thinking of posting it in installments here. i got brave and let my husband read it (my husband is a huge porn fanatic and most of the time it makes me uncomfortable so i don't let him read anything erotic that i may write because he tends to go overboad about 'how good it is.' also, i have a hard time taking his opinion because he's my husband and his opinion is biased. oh that's right, i'm one of THOSE girls). So he read it and thought it was fantastic. Its not finished, of course. I'm in the build-up and first stages of foreplay at this point but I think I add too much detail and it makes it boring and frustrating. I suppose the only way to find out is to post a bit of it on here and see how it goes over. The worst that can happen is that it will suck. I think I can manage that....

One of the hardest things for a writer to do is let go and "give" their work to the readers/critics. A large number of bestselling authors can tell you about the drawer of rejection slips they have. Don't let the fear of what others think stop you. Write what you see and feel. If you can put on paper what you believe is true to your vision, then even if someone does criticize it, take that information and learn from it for your next effort. To toss in unwarranted sports analogies: How many players hit home runs the first couple of times they picked up a bat, or quarterbacks threw touchdowns their first few passes? Its fear of rejection which/lack of persistence which has determined who succeeds and fails in this respect. Because you sometimes put pieces of yourself in what you write, it is quite understandable. Good luck with it, however.

um...i love you? *wink* Seriously, that is very true. I've been writing since middle school but you know the saying, you're your own worst critic. Well, that's me. it takes a lot of balls on my part to get on here and post anything that i write because even though i can play tough and say i can take criticism, i'm still very sensitive. kind of silly, huh? thank you for the encouragement though. i truly do appreciate it.
