"The liver is evil and must be punished"

I mean, I was out and about in town yesterday and saw somebody wearing a T shirt that said this. And I have to admit that I thought wow - I never really realised people actually wore those kind of T shirts, and more to the point, that people found them funny. My gripes;

a) Anybody that talks about or in some way refers to their drinking prowess is blatantly the kind that has half a shandy and vomits over the barmaid.

b) My liver is not evil. In fact, though my biology's pretty poor, I'm fairly sure that my liver is one of the things keeping me alive.

c) It's just not funny.

One thing that did amuse me though is the thought of someone wearing one of these and then going to meet the family of an alcoholic. I am aware that this makes me a bad man.

In fact, it's not just this slogan that pisses me off - I loathe pretty much any item of clothing with a 'witty' slogan on it. To whit; 'Im with stupid' (What, you mean you're schizophrenic?), 'Take me to your beaver' (Which tends to lose its impact when the only people you talk to are guys at a sci-fi convention) and 'My cousin/brother/pet hamster went to Disneyworld and all I got was this lousy T shirt' (I've always thought it would be cheaper and funnier just to bring back a lump of coal as a present.)

On a related note, I once owned a T shirt bearing the moniker 'One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor.'

I am aware that come the revolution I will be first against the wall.

I have some disney t-shirts with slogans like "it ain't easy being this cute", with pic of piglet and "nobody understands grumpy people" with a pic of eeyore. I love them.

Does that make me a bad person???

Bye everyone, it was a blast
