Intimidated by BEAUTY.....

Hi there,thanks for dropping in.

Are YOU intimidated by Beauty in the opposite sex?

I have to admit to you that i often feel intimidated by a beautiful woman.

I don't mean that in a bad way at all. It's just an insecurity on my part.My confidence plummets when i see a beautiful woman in a room/bar.

I Always think to myself that "There's NO way that SHE would be remotely interested in a guy like ME".

It's not that i can't have a conversation with a beautiful woman,it's just that i need the ice to be broken in some way before i make my approach.

I'm curious to know if there any other guys out there that feel the same way?How do you cope with it?

Also....

Ladies,do you ever get intimidated by a gorgeous looking guy.Do you see them as a challenge,or do you steer clear of them.

& also...Ladies,do you believe that guys can be intimidated by your beauty,& what do you do if anything to change that?

OR... Do you think,it's their loss,i could'nt be bothered with a guy who has'nt got the balls to ask me out,or chat with me?I'm just like any other!

Honest answers please, this is a biggie for me!

Hugs,

I am intimidated by "hard bodies". I am intimidated by people who knew me when I was 19 and had a 26 inch waist. But I REALLY enjoy intimidating others when I know I can. Consider me a shark who smells blood....lol.

sure lad i used to feel as you have said you feel when i was around a beautyfull lady but then i fell ill and lost the use of an arm and now walk a bit funny then i realised it could have happened to anyboby and infact we are all the same crunchy on the outside soft on the inside, and i lost my hard man view that the outer beauty was the most important, i think now that i am no better than anybody and theres nobody any better than me funny a little kids look is more likely to stop me in my tracks than a beautyfull womens, but i do agree a beautyfull women is a force much stronger than most men can handle.
good one chap..keith

Hi aqustic, thanks for the post.I'm sorry to hear about what happened to your arm.It IS amazing how something traumatic can totally change ones aspect on life is'nt it?

I was in a near death car accident 10 years ago,& i'm so glad to have survived it.My whole attitude to life has changed,& i now try to live it to it's fullest,& take nothing for granted nowadays.

I DO appreciate the finer things in life,& that includes the sight of a beautiful woman.I still have alot of catching up to do with regards to my shyness, but i'm getting there.

It's funny though, once i get chatting to someone,i don't have a problem holding a conversation. It's just the initial contact,& fear of rejection that flattens me almost every time.

When you called me "lad",i had to smile.I just thought of my Brother who lives in Manchester.Thats what he says to me when we're having a conversation. It was like being at home!..lol

Cheers!

I suppose most of us feel like that to a certain degree,if i see a really good looking bloke in a bar, i do automatically think, you've no chance there girly.. but if he talks to me and is arrogant about his looks then my interest dives straight away,,, would sooner watch paint dry...as i get to know someone,,, being able to make me laugh and talk to me and listen to me makes my attraction grow and they are then good looking to me regardless.. the ole beauty in the eye of the beholder think...and a lot of ppl are shy, so that needs to be taken on board as well, not that they cant be bothered talking to u, just shyness often prevents it... good post
It's really interesting to hear you say that honey(I hope that you don't mind me calling you that?If you do just say,ok?).

You see,i always think that the women have the power in that regard. It's strange for me to hear that you would say that to yourself,as you ARE a very beautiful lady, but yet you think HE is out of your league?

I don't like arrogant people myself,so i can relate to what you say.The qualities that you suggest, are also the one's that shine through for me.Being able to hold a conversation, having a laugh,& being a good listener are,i feel, the BEST qualities to have.

The sad thing is though for me....I would be intimidated by someone that looks as beautiful as you do.Something would have to happen, for me to pluck up the courage to get chatting with you,if we were out in a club,& i saw you.

Something,like...writing in your blog perhaps?..

Cheeky are'nt i?..lol..
