I loved all of these places, but my favorite SO far has been New York City, option #8.

It's just SO true to the Sinatra song,it's a place that never sleeps. It goes 24/7.

Theres just SO much to see there & to do,it would be very hard to get bored. It's so easy to get around it & you should never get lost,as it's set out in a grid system thats just so easy to follow.

It's as you see it on the TV,even down to the steam =coming out of the manholes,& shores...lol

If you hav'nt been there before, then i'd urge you to make it a priority of yours to visit.

It's a city that EVERYONE should see at least once in their lives.

I've yet to visit places like Thailand,China,Russia,& Japan.I just have so much curiosity about the east & the Orient.I find it facinating!

Any tips????

Hugs & Kisses,

D. XXXX

I grew up in North London and I always have a great time in the pubs when I go back and visit friends and relatives. I have been to every city on your list except for New York and I have had a great time in all of them other than Cairo.

Two cities that I love that are not on your list are Seattle which is an incredible place to visit, and Prague which I visited about five years ago.

I did not like Tokyo, Mexico City or Rio de Janeiro very much when I went there. They were way too crowded for my liking.

Hi there Fallic, thanks for your vote & post.Prague, funnily enough is the next place on my list of cities to visit. It's between there & Barcelona, but it has been a place that i have been looking forwards to for a while now.

I'm wondering about Mexico,& Rio de Janeiro. Was it because of the Ghettos,or barrios that put you off?I have an Aunt that went to Mexico,& said exactly the same as you.She mentioned that it was very overcrowded,& very poor in some areas.

Tokyo was a surprise to me from your list.I have always been facinated by Japan,(ever since seeing the series Shogun in the 80's).
I know that crowds can be a pain when theres too many poeple, but i don't think that it would put me off visiting a place because of it.

Cairo was a City of two halves. One side, very poor, the other side very opulent.I visited Giza while i was there to see the Pyramids,& Sphinx. They were very spectacular,& worth a trip. The Cairo Museum is also worth seeing. There IS a security risk in visiting Cairo, but we were with an escort when we went there,so that was ok.

& finally,i have to agree with you also about London. It IS a fabulous place to visit,as there is so many places to see,& things to do.I would'nt live there though. It's too businesslike for me...lol

Thanks again, hope to see you here again.

HBowt,i have to agree with you on that one.Paris is second in my choice here, but as you can see first on my list in the poll.

It IS a wonderful city, for ALL the same reasons you give & more!

I enjoyed my time there,so much,it,along with NYC,are the ONLY two cities, appart from Dublin, that i would consider living in.

Like NYC,it has everything,& is just so laid back,& relaxing to see,& there IS SO much to see is'nt there?

It gets a 9 & a half from me!!...lol

Thanks for sharing!
