A romantic meal "In the Dark"....

HI there,thanks for dropping in.

I was listening to the radio the other morning,& i heard about this restuarant in Paris that about to open a branch in London.

"So whats so good about that"?....i hear you ask.

Well,it's a restaurant where all the people dine "in the dark".No lights!

I thought it strange myself at first, but began to understand why as the story unfolded.

Apparently, each guest chooses what they wish to eat BEFORE they enter the restuarant,& are THEN escorted to their seats by BLIND waiters & waitresses.

Each table is alocated a waiter/waitress,& they are responsible for that tables need for the duration of the meal, normally one & a half hours.

The idea behind it is two-fold.Firstly,it is to give people an appreciation of the "Taste" of the food, rather than what it looks like.

& secondly,it also gives the people a chance to understand what it is like to be blind,& in turn gives them an appreciation of their gift of sight.

I guess, having eaten there, every person comes out of the experience SEEING the world in a whole new light!(no pun intended)

Apparantly also, they are FULL every night, with bookings well into the new year.

I just thought that it was innovative & thought provolking.I hope that you don't mind me sharing it with you?

Have a great weekend & have fun!Bon appetite!

Hugs & kisses,
