Well......I think it's always nice to get a response.....even if it's a "not interested". There really is no nice way to tell someone your not interested. All you can do is make it hurt a little less. I mean....who wants to hear that? I think the best way is to flatter someone before you hit them with the crappy part. For example...."you are a very attractive person and I'm sure you have much to offer but I/we are just not interestd at this time". Thats about as close to painless as you can get. Many, many people will make a effort and never get any response at all. Now what do you think has more of a impact on a persons self esteem? To feel like your not even worth the time to respond to or a response thanking them for their interest and little flattery before letting them know? I think taking the time to respond shows that even though your not interested, atleast you have enough respect to acknowledge them. I try to do this with everybody who sends me email or shows interest in me. After all.....I do appreciate the interest even if the person is not my type.

gordy. thanks for the insite
We do try to respond to most, the ones we dont generally respond to are the one liners that show no respect whatsoever,( I think you know the ones the rude and crude ones) I feel if you cant show a lil respect your not worth my time.
I do think it is nice to show that you have at least gotten the email and appreciate the time that they took to write to you.

Now I need to go back and look at emails to make sure I didnt just walk all over my tounge on that one..
