just today and then tomorrow is it!!!!!!!

I was reading Purpletrashcan blog and it brought back a memory to me. and given my brain lately I just thought i'd better commit it to a blog. I don't drink so often ( who am I kidding all the time i go out) I'm called to be the DD. Long before marriage and kids my then roommate ( now best buddy) went to a party given by her work. it was bring your own. For some strange and still yet to be explained reason, she took a whold bottle of cinnamon schnaps. The part got wilder, the drinking got free er, the room got hotter... square dancing even broke out..I swear. one of her co workers used to call square dances to make money for college. After a small arguement, in which I not only won over the keys, but also future foresite to take the keys prior to the begining of drinking, I drove my friend home. about half way home she says (with a great deal of urgency) "PULL OVER" on my way to pulling over she pukes, vomits,hurls... whatever word you chose. It smelled like cinnamon schnaps, which smells just like Lavoris,a mouth wash. I could not stand the smell of Lavoris for years... Did I mention how totally happy we took her car that night. And not be an enabler I left the mess for her to deal with in the morning. Did I also mention it was late August? Oh yea she did not drink enough to puke for a long time after that. I'll maybe have a glass of wine for my birthday party, I may need a ride home... any one out there want to help a girl?

I'm not much of a drinker, either. Never was, really.
I've usually been the DD, too.

_____Funny how people forget to roll down the window when they're going through the pre-hurl heaves. ///// If you wouldn't mind riding on the back of my bike, I could give you a ride home. (and by bike, I don't mean a peddled contraption) I haven't drank in nineteen years. I'm one of those nasty sober alcoholics.

Sky, I think if you have the brain capacity to realize you need your window down first... well then it's possible you are just not drunk enough to hurl LOL so, why are you a 'nasty sober alcholic?'

I know this sounds ludicrous, not the singer, but I hate drinking in a place that people are getting smashed. Like a bar, new year's eve party etc... I figure at least one of us better be sober, who will take the blackmail pictures if every body is drunk

_____I say "nasty sober alcoholic" because once I tell a person who offers me a drink, at a party or bar, "No thank you. I'm an alcoholic." The drinkers tend to get all paranoid and feel a need to tell me how they are not alcoholics. Some even seem to get offended. (usually the really drunk ones) In reality, some of them probably are alcoholics who's lives haven't turned to shit enough, like mine did, to get them to get; and stay, sober. I tend to be indifferent toward others peoples drinking. It only becomes a general problem when their drinking endangers others lives, hence; the designated driver. Designated drivers save lives. (Not that I'm trying to pat you on the back, or anything.)

well if you didn't pat me on the back who did? on of my friend's friend love to drink and probably does in fact have 'issues' with it. When the three of us go out she gets SOOOOOOO mad that I'm not drinking... it really bothers her. I mean she has actuall ordered me a drink just to make her happy. I did not drink it and she got even more upset... it is creepy to me.
